Generally the hotel is ok. The wifi is free and the staff are very very nice. They are also quite on time. The price is also reasonable for short trips. The location os near the train station and the good restaurants.

The rooms are generous as are bathrooms, although this is not luxury accommodation it is good value for money. There is also a fully equipped kitchen where you can make a meal, refrigerate supplies or just make a coffee. Breakfast was included in the price with lovely homemade conserves. No parking problems, but the property is set back a little on the road, so can easily be missed

The hotel modestly gives itself a 2-star rating. It’s at least three. Rooms are average sized and have modern bathrooms that work well. Everything is clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet is extensive and fresh. Plenty of parking. Close to CBD up a reasonably steep hill. Service friendly, even if my French is less than adequate.

Stayed for two nights in the Romany caravan. The caravan was made in Poland with Norwegian Pine and had its own built in shower and toilet. Plenty of storage space and a very comfortable bed. Our hostess was very welcoming. She spoilt us with her home made jam and yoghurt, and acted as a local guide providing us with sites to visit in the area. All in all, a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Knowing we'd booked a €50 family room, which was 1/3 of the price of the 4*hotels, we weren't expecting the Ritz, so yes it's dated, no there isn't a lift, yes it's easy to find and park outside, no the bedrooms aren't 100% sound proofed from your neighbour, yes there are plenty of tempting restaurants within a stone's throw of the hotel. Would I stay again? I wouldn't intentionally stay in Romans-sur-Isère again as the town seemed to have peaked 50 years ago and was fast losing its charm, however if I was caught out on the motorway late at night nearby, then yes is make a B line for this hotel!
