The food is consistently good. This is a family-style restaurant. Great place if you need a date night, but still have to take your children on your date. Note: there are never loud children running amuck. It's everything I look for in a restaurant: It's clean, has a warm, friendly atmosphere; good food - good cold beer if you drink - I don't, but my frequent dining companion loves their COLD beer. We get take-out often, as well. It's fast.

Having lived in different Italian parts of Long Island, both as a child and an adult, I have finally found bliss in this authentic Italian pastry shop. The cookies were fresh and just how they should be. I tried the St Joseph pastry-made during Lenten season and it was incredible and everything it should be.
Don't miss this place. Friendly people and baked right on the premises…I will be a loyal customer.

I have yet to be disappointed with this place. Every time I go, I get something different and I am always pleased! Portions are huge. Drinks are just so good. My favorite drink is the Yeti! Peanut butter, banana & chocolate- what could be better?

Charlie's is great for a quick lunch if you want something fresh that doesn't leave you feeling gross. It's extremely casual; food is served on styrofoam plates and most dishes are ready in just a minute. The food was pretty good, but I have really high expectations of this sort of food. I lived overseas for several years and I've had the opportunity to eat some delicious Mediterranean fare. I thought the hummus at Charlie's was very average. The pita triangles that were served with the hummus were not very fresh. My gyro was good.
The ambiance is really casual, so don't go in expecting anything fancy. The service was friendly. The value was spot on for the quality and quantity of their food.
Not sure I'll be hurrying back, but I'm glad this sort of food is being served up in Wake Forest!

My family and I love to go to eat at different places especially close to home. We drove by one day and saw that Torero's was finally open so we decided to have dinner there. I was a little surprised that the place wasn't packed. We had a nice waiter. Our kids loved the food. Our plates were over loaded with food - doggie bags all around. The prices were decent - food was very good. And they have outside seating which is yet another reason why we will go back.

Even though this is technically a chain, it is one of the best family run restaurants that I have ever been to. The owners are very nice and make you feel like family. This Daylight Donuts got me through two pregnancies and many 3 am doughnut cravings. Thanks Shana and Glenn!

In searching for a great place for ice cream to cool off during the heat, I tried the Wake Forest Dairy Depot after hearing such good things about it. They even have a drive thru although I didn't use it this visit.
The staff is very friendly and was patient with us while we were deciding what to order. The prices were very reasonable as well. But best of all the product is great. We were all happy with what we ordered. There were a lot of flavor choices, trainwreck combinations, and best of all they serve Dole Whips. I hadn't had one of those since Disney so that is what I ordered and it was just as good as Disney's.
I highly recommend the Dairy Depot. They offer a lot of promotions as well.

Calacbash style seafood. We stopped in for lunch after we saw the new restaurant signs. We tried fried shrimp, oysters, chicken strips & homemade sides. Everything we had was really good. The decor is simle and very casual-you seat yourself. You definitely should try if you like calabash style seafood! This place replaced Fitzgerald's.

We had some trouble finding this place, which is at the edge of a shopping center that seems to be undergoing refurbishment. Interesting menu with varied selections, what you might call modern-urban-cliche. We had a Cobb salad that was served on a plate 12 inches across, full to overflowing with avocados, bacon bits, lettuce, tomatoes, etc.--all pretty fresh-tasting. We also had a Turkey sandwich (called "downtowner" for some reason), which we found less than superlative. Communities like Wake Forest in the Raleigh conurbation have dozens of such places, a cut above fast food but some cuts below gourmet dining. The service here is exceptionally polite. Huge flat-screen TV assumes a sports-bar clientele, which we are not, but at least it's not Fox News.

A great place for my wife and I to get breakfast almost every weekend.
Friendly staff. Great breakfast food.
Fried eggs, bacon, sausage, grits (they know how to cook them). Omlets, pancakes are wonderful. I love their biscuits and gravy. Coffee, and or tea (sweet or unsweet)
Always clean. Restrooms are also kept up nicely.
