The southernmost of the Western Fjord counties, Rogaland is also home to many beautiful beaches and islands. Of the area’s fjords, Lysefjord is the most famous, its 25 magnificent miles marked by narrow passages along steep vertical drops. Preikestolen, Rogaland’s most visited attraction, is a breathtaking cliff nearly 2,000 feet above the water. Kjeragbolten, a huge boulder wedged in a mountain crevasse, is another Lysefjord highlight. Cruises begin at Stavenger, the area’s biggest town.

We got to know the owner well. Such a hardworking person who does everything to keep the place tidy and updated. There are flowers and garden plants around the camping ground. There is space for camping vans closer to the road, but also space for more vans and tents behind the owner’s house. Nice grill with table, clean little kitchen. A tiny cottage for watching tv/sitting on the couch. Very close to the town and to grocery store. The toilets and the shower could be a bit tidier, but the personnel did check the facilities twice a day.

Haraldshaugen Camping is a big and spacious camping site situated close to the sea. It is also next-door neighbor to Haraldsstotten (Norway’s National Monument) and Krosshaugen. The camping site is 3 kilometres from Haugesund town centre. Here you have a good view of the sea and the island Rovaer west of Haugesund. Close to the camping site there is a lovely trail to Kvalen lighthouse and Kvalsvik. Kvalsvik bathing place is popular in the summertime, with tables and barbeque facilities. The nearest shopping centre is only 400 metres away.
Very nice place, with a view to the North sea, and lots of hiking trails that take you around the area. A nice beach/bathing facility in the sea is within walking distance. The camping is a mix of caravans, camper cans, and small cabins. The staff is superfriendly, and very helpfulin finding the right spot that you want for your caravan. Very helpful, and nice place. Will definitely go again later.

The camping site is located next to the fjord. The scenic view was fantastic. I enjoyed the morning walk because of the mirror image of the fjord which worth million bucks. The camping site was well equipped. We also rent bicycles from camping site to explore Sauda town centre. Definitely will revisit this lovely camping site in the future.

The hosts was very polite and the facilities was clean and good. The view from the camping towards the flood is lovely. The price was good, and as we expected it to be. The camping site has mini golf.

I really had a good time in this camp; we slept in our own tent and the people that were working there gave us help and nice talks. The bathrooms and the kitchen were very clean. Marcus was a really nice company as well :) thank you!
