Our hand-tossed pies are baked in a 900° wood oven. Our chefs then top them with organic ingredients, local produce and imported cheeses. Local favorites are the Truffle Pie with tartufo, potato, pancetta, rosemary and egg; the Standard with pomodoraccio tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil; and most of all - our Crab Dip. Everything is cooked to perfection 100% in our wood fire oven.
Zanata’s does pizza like nobody around! I am amazed how tasty it is every time that I eat here. My husband’s favorite is the Pepperoni with fresh ground mozzarella cheese. I like so many of the pizzas. The Hubbard is unique in that balsamic vinegar marinated mushrooms are on top of pepperoni, chorizo, garlic and tomato sauce.

Great new reasturant in old town Rockwall, husband and wife team bring warmth and a Texas take on American cuisine, prepared by a CIA NY trained chef.
Incredible food and neat "house" type atmosphere. Menu is incredible and everything I've ever had has been delicious. Fun to just go have glass of wine there too. Service is great and atmosphere is nicer than casual - highly recommended. Old Craftsman style home converted to restaurant.

Gloria's growth has been a constant ever since then. Now boasting 15 Texas locations, the restaurant still serves the same delicious Latin cuisine that has been satifying hungry Texans for over 25 years.
My husband and I dined there during a business trip and were thrilled! Wonderful food, looked great, tasted even better. The service was outstanding thanks to our great waiter Israel Arevalo! He made a great experience even better! Too bad we don't have a Gloria's around where we live but we'll sure be back when back in TX!!!

Hi people who read these reviews. I value others reviews so I wanted to leave one in this situation. I am gluten free/gluten sensitive and its a new situation for me. Saltgrass is not the restaurant for your if you are gluten free/sensitive. Its nice that they have options at all to subsitute; however, the presentation & quality is sorely lacking from a restaurant of their status. I recently visited for a date with my significant other. I ordered the chicken tenders dinner and what I received was a sad looking plate of food. especially for the price tag of the entree. Also the gluten free bread is terrible! The server tried to be sympathetic and apologize, but she was young & had no customer service skills in that area. I will not return.

Bootsburgers is one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. The burger is made from good quality ingredients, but the experience of going there makes it! Bootsburgers has been in operation since the 60's when Rockwall didn't even have one red light and it's population lived mostly on farm to market roads. The burgers are prepared in the garage of a unassuming house on Austin street just off the square on TX66. They start with about 100 lbs of beef and when they sell out, they close for the day. Sitting in the yard of the house and chatting with strangers waiting for their burgers underneath the big shade tree is a sublime experience. They only cook burgers. If you want chips and a drink, you have to get them from the machine outside the ordering window. I highly recommend the Double-Double. So, if you ever happen to be passing through Rockwall at lunch (or visiting our DFW Metroplex), a stop at Bootsburgers will be a lasting memory!

Incredible place to eat - very neat atmosphere and some really pretty outdoor seating too if available. Live musician on weekends usually and GREAT services. Very good menu. Dress nicer than shorts and t-shirt....not fancy but not casual either. Business casual would be typical.

Never had a "miss" on anything on the menu, pizza, dipping sauce for bread, apps, various Italian dishes. Extremely popular place in Rockwall, but never had to wait in line. I like getting things to go since I live nearby. Paper napkins? Have to go to counter to pay when leaving? Ppl don't exactly dress up to go here which is a shame since the decor is pretty good and the atmosphere potential is here. Wine/beer only, not full bar. Service is quick for bringing out food. Water filling, bread refills, food delivery is by support staff half the time not the wait staff. Sometimes leads to lack of attention after food has been delivered. I LIKE being asked if meal is "ok" after I've had a bite, and not having to set my empty water glass near the edge of the table so someone will notice. Again, food is top notch.

Chef Ted Grieb has taken his talent to a new level ! The Fatted Calf, on the square in downtown Rockwall, specializes in "Down Home Chic" food at a reasonable price. Formerly Old Timers, the Fatted Calf is a comfortable, upscale restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Special dinners and evening events take place throughout the year. Daily specials are offered and feature only the freshest, seasonal ingredients. The genesis of the restaurant came from the need for a high quality, comfortable dining establishment in Rockwall. Ted was raised by his mother (a great cook) and father (a great fisherman) in southern New Jersey where he developed a love for farm fresh food, freshly caught seafood and large portions! Everyone in the family has a love for food, including his sister Beth who makes the jams, pastries and desserts for the restaurant. Chef Ted has made his home in Rockwall with his wife, two adorable daughters, four crazy dogs and three friendly cows. Manager Blake Kirk is always available to help you find a table or place an order! They have both been essential in the opening and management of The Fatted Calf. They and the staff at the Fatted Calf aim to please and will always greet you with a smile. Shoreline Restaurant Corp., The owners of Culpepper's and The Oar House as well, saw the talent of Chef Ted and the opportunity to take The Fatted Calf to a new level. The Fatted Calf moniker refers to the daily celebration to be had at the restaurant, where friends and family can meet for a quick bite or an extended stay. Come check out our beautiful new look and our fabulous bar. Happy Hour and dinner will be a must !
Stopped for a snack while I dropped off my truck for oil change. Very cozy warm feel with nice people running the show. I got biscuits and gravy and coffee. Gravy was good, id prefer it a little thicker, but taste was there. Big beautiful bar to sit at and admire the woodworking of the bar. Didn't have time to try anything else, but it all looked good. Support local- go here over a chain.

Z's Catfish is where you will go to find great homemade cooking, and a family oriented atmosphere.
Bottom line, after multiple visits, I am satisfied with the quality and price of their catfish. If not for their hole in the wall location they would probably have booming business. They just recently reduced their number of days open (fewer weekdays) so be certain they're open before going out of your way. I've had average satisfaction with some of the sides and the hush puppies, but I recall I took a look and drove on by a few times over some months before I finally decided to trust the reviews. I'm happy I finally did. They're on my 'definitely will return' list.

Joe Willy’s is an awesome family restaurant with very good burgers made to order, great milkshakes and malts, etc. The owner is so nice to allow groups in the community trying to raise money for various causes to wait tables for tips and they donate a percentage of the earnings as well. Our church youth group has done this several times to raise money for Camp and mission trips. Great space with plenty of room to accommodate larger groups. Very friendly local employees, usually high schoolers who are wonderful. Highly recommended!
