A special night- we love French cuisine and have no French restaurants in Newcastle. Very authentic French menu, delicious food, lovely friendly waitress, special visit by the chef, who put a birthday candle on our shared crepe and sang happy birthday for my wife's birthday. BYO with reasonable corkage by Sydney standards. The only negative was a strange smell my wife detected on entry - not a huge problem, but a little off putting!!

I had been wanting to dine at Chez Pascal for many years without having had the opportunity. When finally four of us did we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere created by the owner and his son is lively and friendly, especially if you are there to celebrate a birthday. The food is classis French fare and has a good selection of wines to complement. I look forward to my second visit!

Sydney is not short of eating places. This is one place I really liked, great choice of menu. Good quality food. You need to be careful when you leave your table for more food, staff can clear things away quickly and you will wonder what has happened
