Have you ever told your family what you’d do different if you opened a restaurant? Well, that’s exactly why we opened Babe’s Chicken Dinner House. We wanted a sit-down restaurant where people really feel at home. Where your neighbors wait on you and your whole family.
Friday early evening and you really do not want to cook but you decided spontaneously to go out and had no reservations? (Which in a busy place like Ronaoke means 1-2h waiting time for a table...). No worries - Babe’s got you covered. Here is how it works: drive up and park right in front. Walk in (past plenty of hopefuls waiting for tables). Order chicken dinners. Now either walk back out go across the street have one of the best Margaritas Texas has to offer come back pick up food or just wait (7 min average, these guys are speedy!). Drive home. Enjoy! Packed so great no spill. Tastes so good you want to cry (pleasure cry - be honest when did that last (or ever?) happen to you). Wow to make reservations next time although if you are honest eating that super delicious chicken in the privacy of your living room in comfy clothes and watching nice stuff on TV is just so much better. Never seen more happy and friendly staff nor more efficiency. Price very reasonable for quantity and especially quality. The corn is mouth watering. The mashed potatoes are a sin. I loved the salad (and I am no salad eater!). Don’t miss out!

If you are looking for a soft drink or candy from your past, check this place out. They also have new "boutique" soft drinks and new candy. Ice cream is also served. My only complaint is, after having been in several times, the staff is young and unsupervised and at times can seem like they are irritated that you are asking them to ring you up so you can pay.

It's not your typical coffee house for sure. The Brew Junkie shares a building with a boutique (Kiki LaRue), but the dynamic appears to work well. The place is super clean and still has that cozy coffee shop feel without the boutique giving you an overwhelming feeling of consumerism. It helps that the coffee part of the building has multi-floor (ground level, landing, and loft) + outdoor seating. Really cozy and cool! The building itself is beautiful as well.
I had a peppermint latte, which was so wonderful, and later had a regular brewed coffee. My friend had a banana bread latte and really enjoyed the uniqueness of it. My husband had a cold brew, which he said he liked also. Best of all was the barista! He was very friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. You can tell he truly enjoys his work.
Oh, and prices were surprisingly pretty good for a coffee house too! Everything here was a pleasant surprise. This is one place where we plan to return anytime we are in the area! You don't want to pass this place by. Head upstairs with a drink to enjoy chatting with friends or working. :)

The Classic Cafe is a relaxing, cozy cottage serving original New American cuisine.
can't begin to tell you how great this place is. One couple I know come here every year for their anniversary and the wait staff all remember them like they saw them every week! Have some other friends who traveled 30 miles with all their family and friends for their anniversary party.! ALL enjoyed the food/service/ambiance.!

Outside of Houston, this is the best donut place we've encountered in Dallas. And that's saying something. Always fresh, always tasty and the breakfast croissants are just right.
The owner/operator is a great gal who goes out of her way to serve. We hadn't been there for some months due to business travel and when we saw that it was nearly noon, we gave her a call about her hours. She said she would stay open for us and we said we would be 10 minutes. Turns out, traffic was heavy and it took us a half hour. She was still there waiting for us and smiling sweetly as she always does. We only bought two donuts and two kolaches but she treated us like royalty! Did I mention that she always sticks a couple free donut holes in the bag for you?
Other Dallas restaurants, large and small, could take a few lessons from this humble woman.

My wife and I love this place, best bbq we've had anywhere. Very relaxed atmosphere. Can take a while because there's usually a line around the building. Be ready to spend the evening there. Brisket, sausage, and grilled corn are our favorites, but I haven't had any food that wasn't exceptional. They also did an awesome job of accommodating a large family style to go order. It's worth the line. PS my wife is Celiac which means she has to be gluten free. These guys have always don't a great job of taking care of her allergy and not making her sick.

My daughter loves specialty cupcakes, & these are top notch.
She wants to go all the time, so we compromise & go once a week.
She doesn't really have a favorite-says they're all good.
If you eat at one of the many places in Roanoke, save room for a sweet treat here.

The Blackened Redfish for lunch was a decent sized portion that wasn’t too heavily seasoned. It is hard to find reasonably priced seafood in the DFW area but Bayou Jacks may be the exception. The staff took the time to explain things on the menu to first timers and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back to try other selections.

Just who is Reno Red? Look out the windows and gaze back into the time of the great cattle drives of the Old West. The Chisholm Trail was not far from right here. Among those hard working cowboys along the trail that carried half of all the cattle in Texas, was the great chuck wagon master, Reno Red. Cowboys knew when they saw his chuck wagon it meant there was going to be some good eatin' and tales to tell. For most cowboys the chuck wagon was truly their home on the range. And if the chuck wagon was their home, the cook was their king. Because the morale of the men and the smooth functioning of the camp depended on him, the cook's authority was unquestioned. Reno Red is our "Chuck Wagon Master" and the inspiration for our decor and our menu recipes. We have many of Reno's favorite original recipes. And just like Reno, we cook our food on an open mesquite grill for that true frontier cooking experience. Time has come for the tales of Reno Red to be told. We want our customers to know who that cowboy is in our logo. More tales to come . . .
Went there with my wife. We ordered and the decor we enjoyed. The food was mediocre and the service was poor. There were only two other tables there but one of them was holding some business discussions and the staff seemed to be joining in at the expense of good service.
I will not classify the place as bad, but there are simply too many competitors doing food right to call it good.
Not likely to return some of the questions on the review, frankly I did not pay much attention after the poor service and lukewarm food.
