This restaurant is located directly across the street from University of Wisconsin, River Falls, which may help explain several (good) things.
First, the prices are very reasonable. Coming from the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, we found that we got more for our money here than in many Twin Cities restaurants.
Second, the portions were quite large with several entrees. This may respond to the appetite for college age students, compared to some of us who are older.
Third the food is quite tasty
Finally the service is quite fast and friendly.
3 of us were in town to play golf nearby and came into town for lunch. We enjoyed this place and recommend it strongly.

Large parking lot, drive up window, inside dining with sunroom and good service. this is one of the better DQs in the midwest. We opted for drive-up ordering this time. The Pecan Cluster Blizzards are awesome.

Had a sausage pizza. My wife love it but I thought it was just okay. Sausage taste processed. Staff were very friendly. The place is clean & quaint. My son recommends a breakfast bacon, black olives & pepperoni pizza. Different tastes for different people.

In business since 1981, the West Wind continues to introduce fresh new entrees and provide outstanding service to River Falls, Wisconsin, residents, the entire St. Croix Valley, as well as the greater Twin Cities area. Large dining room with outside seating and full bar. Perfect place to gather for any occasion: rehearsal dinners, birthdays, anniversaries or holiday parties!
The west wind is a not to be missed restaurant in Riverfalls. Richard recommended it while we were staying at the Econolodge. Their bar is outstanding and their food is unbelievably even better. The menu is varied and all of the food is fresh. I had a Saturday night buffet that I have not seen in ages. A well done to the fabulous staff including Eric our server.

We haven't dined here in a few years. Returned to RF for a movie at Falls Theater and this was our pre-movie destination and we brought friends with us. We sat out on the covered patio on a beautiful sunny, warm day. For those that have not been here, this place is pretty dark, not many windows except on the side where the patio is, so inside dining is for those cold winter days. We ordered the Deep Fried Mushrooms and the Breadsticks for appetizers. Both were really, really good to have with our drinks, and they make an excellent gin martini here. The mushrooms were super fresh with light (non-greasy) breading. Two of us ordered the Maple Glazed Salmon, one the New York Strip Steak and I had the Walleye Almondine. All dinners are complimented with a great selection of two sides. Word was that the salmon and the steak were delicious. Speaking for myself, I had a baked potato and the clam chowder soup. The potato large and nicely baked, the clams were abundant in my soup. Great! My walleye was good and cooked to perfection but could have used more seasoning or spice. The panko breading was nearly not there at all and almonds? what almonds? it just had almond butter served with it, that's it.
Our server here was a bit forgetful not getting the order right, but all was well. Not the best fine dining to be found, but possibly the best in River Falls. On this day, we were all given a chance to spin the wheel of fortune and three out of four of us won free appetizers. We left smiling.

Junior's Restaurant & Tap House is the best spot in town for live music, food, craft beer & cocktails. Don't miss out on our Famous Fish Fry with live music every Friday!
Pleasant atmosphere... great beer choices. I've found their wine selection slim from time to time. But, their happy hour, until 6 pm M-Th, is a winner! Great place to meet with friends. Favorite apps: Bang bang shrimp. Favorite salad: Craisin/Walnut/Apple spinach salad with grilled chicken. Decent burgers and pastas too!!

I went in expecting typical bar-grill food until I received my platter of nachos. It arrived on a 12 inch by 12 inch square platter stacked high about six inches of nachos, meat, lettuce, onions, jalapenos, and cheese. I think the chips were homemade. In fact the chips was one of the better parts of the meal including the fast and friendly service. The portion size was amazing and took half of it home in a box.

We were in the area exploring Wis wineries and came across Belle Vinez just outside River Falls, Wis. The picturesque winery is located in a beautiful valley tucked off the main highway. On entering we were quickly greeted by the pleasant and knowledgeable staff. The staff answered all of our questions and discussed each bottle we tried in depth. We tasted all of the available wines for an $11 charge each person, which we found about average. There were several bottles both White and Red wines we found exceptional and a few not so much. We took home 4 bottles of our favorites to add to our collection. FYI, they also serve Pizza but didn't try it.
On leaving the building we walked outside to the beautiful patio and through the rows of vineyards just off the parking lot. If you love wine I recommend you place Belle Vinez on your list to visit.

Good simple breakfasts in a small town café. Usually have an egg, bacon, toast and sometimes one pancake. Weekends have a breakfast buffet as well. Simple, low price.

The service was fabulous. I had fish, potatoes, vegetables and salad. My husband had the cheeseburger soup and it was great. He also had the open-faced beef sandwich with potatoes. All the food was hot and tasted very good. The bill including drinks was around $22. I found that to be a pretty good meal for a full service restaurant with good food and good service.
