Find out what Gastropub restaurants to try in Teddington. Teddington is a suburban area lying west south-west of London, England. Historically in Middlesex, it has been part of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames since 1965. Teddington is on the north bank of the Thames, just after the start of a long meander, between Hampton Wick and Strawberry Hill, Twickenham. Mostly residential, it stretches from the Thames to Bushy Park with a long high street reaching down to pubs, restaurants, leisure premises, fields and fitness clubs by the riverside, having a pedestrian suspension bridge over the lowest non-tidal lock on the Thames, Teddington Lock. Teddington's centre is mid-rise urban development.

I visit regularly, again last Sunday evening for Boaters Jazz. All well, apart from a member of the bar staff whose attitude was really foul. Unsmiling, sulky, charmless, while arguing with colleagues. Really not a good look. It's not what I normally expect at The Boaters, management need to get a grip.Kingstonpaul,Thanks for your feedback on your evening . Iât certainly doesnât sound like the usual characteristics of our team . Iâll be sure to find out what happened Kind Regards Sarah Martin

Newly refurbished gastro pub in the heart of Teddington serving delicious pub food with over 95% of the menu made on site. Cocktails, craft beers, wines, real ales (London Pride) and even homemade bar snacks. Perfect for any occasion and all welcome. Ther
Love the chef, heâs a legend. The owner/barman is amazing too, so funny and welcoming. Standard prices for drinks and a good selection of stuff. The kitchen is beyond amazing. If you donât try the food youâre missing out. Itâs great in the wee hours too, between 12-1:30 (am) is the golden time Iâd say. Music is very high energy, which is great if you fancy a wiggle

And lovely staff who were so accommodating with gluten free food. I have coeliac disease and they showed a total understanding that its just a little allergy but very serious. I had the roast chicken and some wonderful gin. My friend had the roast beef. Enormous servings and it was lovely to sit on the sunshine in a lovely garden. Good Afternoon ikjm,Many thanks for your amazing review! We are so glad that you enjoyed your visit, and that you found the food so amazing! We were delighted to have found this lovely place to eat. Having passed many times had not realised that what looks like a small pub has a top quality large restaurant . Have been here for lunch and dinner and each time can find no fault with the food or service.. Good value for money and top quality food.

The Lion has recently come under new ownership and has had a refurbishment and a new look! Re opening 30th August
Weâve been here twice since the ownership change and it keeps getting better! The food is delicious- well seasoned and balanced. The service is friendly and attentive. The renovations are contemporary and pleasing, and the outdoor patio is spacious and inviting. We particularly enjoyed the roasted tomatoes on a bed of potato purée, the house burger and the thick chips! We will be back often.

Perched on the Thames riverside, this beautiful bar has it all; fantastic food, delicious cocktails, and brilliant location. Open from 12 noon for lunch, we are open until 11:30pm, and families with kids are welcome to join us up until 7pm (we also have a
Revolution is quite a large pub chain selling comfort food such as burgers, fish and chips, sandwiches, pizzas and the like. The advantage of the Richmond branch is its superb riverside terrace. With a view of Richmond bridge on a hot summerâs day the slightly prosaic nature of the food perhaps matters less. But today was a colder winterâs afternoon so lunch was in the indoor bar, which apart from some banquettes around the edge, felt a rather large empty space. That said ribs chips and nachos were a filling repast. The meat slipped easily off the bone so no need for messy hands. A pint of Camden Helles was refreshing.MHi Futtock21, Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we did! We are looking forward to seeing you again soon. Enjoy your day! Thanks,Devonte

We are a family run pub, situated in the beautiful heart of Teddington next to the train station. We have transformed the bar into a cosy area for casual dining and drinking with a restored 80 seater dining room upstairs. We have an extensive menu, rangin
First impression from outside is that this is just another back street pub, located next to Tedding railway station. When I made my reservation, I was told that only downstairs tables were available; significant only because I later found that the upstairs is slightly nicer than the downstairs. Not a problem. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Quick service with a smile. Very clean pub, light and airy. So before the food arrived I was ready to ready to rate this place 3/5. Then the food arrived, and my rating went from 3/5 to 5/5.They served probably the nicest Sunday roast I have ever seen. Generous portions of top quality food, expertly cooked, beautifully presented. Just delicious. I've not been a fan of creamed cabbage before, but now I am if it's how they serve it. Parsnips superb - delicious coating. If my life depended on finding something negative to say about the meal, the best I could do is suggest that the gravy could be slightly thicker, but even that is so subjective as to not really count. Prices vary slightly with the meat chosen (lamb, beef, chicken, pork), but all are under £15 per plate at time of writing. Great value. If your entire party want the same meat, you could choose their Sunday Roast Sharing Board, which makes sense for 3 people. A good range of desserts is offered, although none were diabetic friendly otherwise I might have had one. This is a complaint I will be using more often often on TA, because desserts for diabetics are rare but no more difficult that mains for vegetarians. I did have a coffee though and that was excellent. Summary: Well above average food for average prices. The Railway is a Great British gem.Footnote: Thanks to previous TripAdvisor reviewers for rating this to catch my attention.

This is very much a Victorian purpose built pub, but its roots are somewhat older. The original Teddington King's Head dates back to 1689, the time of William III. Maybe it's the history of the building that gives the pub its appeal or it could be Polly a
We returned to dine here again early evening after the England vs Ireland pre-RWC game at Twickenham. The food was tasty and the service very good - all round a very pleasant experience which we will no doubt repeat in the future.Good morning,Thank you for your 4* review!
