We stopped by the Wood River Inn nihilism traveling through Rhode Island. Our lunch was quite nice. My fish and chips was very well done, and served with both malt vinegar and tartar sauce. My wife's sandwich drew raves from her. Service was prompt and attentive. Bar looked very nice.

I wouldn't say it was in the Middle of Nowhere but not in a city for sure. A couple miles E of I-95S and about 5 miles south of I-95S as it bends around for a east-west orientation, this place is an absolute gem. They have an extensive breakfast-->dinner menu at decent prices. I got the large serving of ham, baked potato, and zucchini for around $8.50 I think. The servings were plentiful and I had trouble eating it all and I was hungry at the time. I ordered it there to go and only had to wait a few minutes. To be fair, this was around 3 PM so not their busiest time. There was enough parking there but can't attest to the parking situation under busier times.

We came upon West Bakery because it showed up on Google maps. The food was delicious. I also really liked the hometown feel of the place. We had the breakfast burrito, and their home fries, which simply shouldn't be missed.

This Dunkin opens early and is open late, unlike the one a few miles east of here. The line always flies through, the order is always correct and the crew here always nice. The only down side is that the traffic pattern here makes it tricky- one entrance/exit aside from the Drive-Thru exit, and you can't get a truck towing a bass boat on a trailer back out without a TON of maneuvering and help from people stopping traffic. We watched the whole scenario. If you have a bigger truck or trailer, park out back using the Stop and Shop main parking lot entrance.

After a long day at the Washington County Fair down the road a piece in Richmond, we stopped at Lickety Splits for an ice cream. While it's on a main road, which can be difficult to cross traffic to get in and out of, it's set up and away a safe distance from said road. There is also a nice wooded area with picnic tables to sit and enjoy your ice cream.
There are quite a lot of flavors to choose from, including soft serve, but 3 out of the 4 in our party chose the Peppermint Patty ice cream. Creamy and filled with junior mints and peppermint patty pieces, it was delicious. The portions were just right, with a small being more than enough. The prices were pretty average for a cone, with the small being $3.50 (different prices for soft serve).
Definitely worth a repeat trip back to try out some of the other flavors. :-)

Stopped in to get food to go and wish I could have stayed. They have a nice little bar area and the decor is appealing. The staff were all incredibly friendly despite it being busy several people greeted me while I ordered and waited. The food was really good, and there was so much rice I was able to have some the next day for lunch. I saw some reviews saying this place has gone down hill but I would encourage those people to give it another try because I really enjoyed it.

Del's Lemonade is similar to Italian Ice, but softer, almost drinkable. They now have a few flavors other than lemon, grapefruit is my favorite other than the original. When they are smooth, not grainy, they are perfectly summer in RI. This location offers Del's by the gallon as well. We got it this summer for a family picnic and it was the best money we'd spent! This is a great location with plenty of parking! Ice cream is available here too. Limited selection, but available.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch. We had stuffies, madarine orange salad and chicken bacon ranch pizza. Everything was very delicious and was enough for us to share and take home leftovers. Excellent friendly staff. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

We were looking for a spot to get good food and watch the game on tv and found Rathskeller in Charlestown. Located slightly in a secluded location, there was good amount of people when we went there.
They have an outdoor patio and large amount of indoor seating. Wide variety of different types of people though mostly casual ambiance.
Our bartender was very good, service was excellent and drinks were great as above. Got the mudslide which was quite good.
Food wasn't that impressive. Got the garlic parm wings which were just wings with a ton of parm thrown on top. Also got the calamari which was soft and good although slightly on the oily side.
Overall good experience. Good spot in the area, esp if you wanted to watch a game and get some drinks.
