A real Gem

Just spent two nights there. I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of property and room. Motel is obviously old but very well maintained. Upgrades are apparent, particularly in the bathroom. Owners very friendly and wanted to make sure I would be comfortable. I usually have trouble getting a good nights sleep in hotel beds. Not here. Slept very well each night. Price wise it was a definite bargain and will be my go to motel the next time I’m passing through.

Best rooms for our power company.

During the power failure in April in Otsego County many powerline men and woman used local hotel accommodations after working 12-16 hour shifts. We had the pleasure of staying at the Lake House and were very satisfied with the rooms and meals. The staff welcomed us and made our stay very comfortable. We had stayed at one of the best hotels we used for weeks with all the power outages to restore.

Not so good.

I stayed in room #9 for one night. I'm very glad I brought a can of Fabreze because the room was VERY musty and mildwey. Glad I brought my own pillow, too. Other reviews are correct. This place needs a complete makeover and is actually very overpriced. The Tally-Ho restaurant in town is first-rate; the hash and eggs are to die for!!

Lake House of Horror’s

Horrendous! This place is just scary. There is no rating that can describe the horror. Checks all boxes. Dirty, check. Creepy, check. Abandoned, check. Straight out of Scooby Doo. We slept with a weapon by our bedside. The growling, invisible dog was the cherry on top.
