They serve cucumber with Sambal Terasi as appetizer. Very good while waiting for our food. We Tried the Ikan Bakar Bawal, there is green sauce on top and taste like Chili but not spicy. Kang Kong Terasi is average and not spicy too. We also order Sotong Telur Asin which is the salted egg version, different cooking style from what I usually ate. Besides, we also ordered satay at some nearby stall. Tasted average too.

Piccolo restaurant in Batam leaves a lot to be desired with respect to service. The hotel made a booking on our behalf and specifically requested an indoor table on the second level. The hotel also called to reconfirm our reservation. When we arrived we were told to proceed to the third level where there was no reserved table. We were told to sit at an uncleared table where the guests had just left. This was obviously not our table. When we queried this we were told the second level was full and the hotel reserved an outdoor table. We know that this is a lie as we would never sit outside with smokers and the hotel had confirmed an indoor table. This was our anniversary dinner and this left a bad taste in our mouths. The entire evening was spent listening to mobile games being played very loudly at the neighbouring table. When the food arrived only 2 plates of food arrived and there were 3 of us. After my Husband and Son finished their meals, my meal arrived. The food is of a good standard but we wonât be returning as service like this does not dignify a return visit. Hallo, thank you so much for taking time to inform us your unpleasant situation, and weâre so sorry you had to experience that, especially on your special day This is definitely not what we want our guests to experience, but somehow we got things wrong. I have shared your situation to our staffs, and we have improved our SOP immediately in receiving a reservation. We really do hope you visit us again someday and have a great dining experience just like other guests do.Thank You,Julia Ahadiah

Thereâs nothing really to rave about this restaurant. We preferred the seafood soup better than the fish soup. We also had a plate of fried seafood which is not bad, not oily. We went to the one I think at Batam center. Not very good service, the staff taking our order didnât really get our orders write. As he was writing, donât know why he keep looking elsewhere I have to wave at him to get him to focus back on our ordering. For us, it would be a one time visit not something that will make us wanna go back.

FIRST TOWER DRINK IN BATAM (Non-Alcohol) Operating Hours: Mon-Thurs : 18.30 - 23.30 Fri - Sun : 18.30 - 00.30 #hoorayeatery
Have always enjoyed dining in a outdoor setting, and i have to say that Hooray Eatery did not fall short of my expectation. They mostly serve modern food with the likes of salted egg chicken, sate taichan (this is very different), loklok, indomie and many more! Price is reasonable as well, will frequent often!

This place served Mie/Noodles, dry and fried called Mie Tarempah, but also a place to buy delicious Luti Gendang (Fried Bread with fish floss inside) which was one of top Batam 'oleh-oleh'. Recommended to tried both, Mie And the Luti (Melayu slank of Roti/bread).

I ordered black pepper crab, kailan and hotplate tofu. All 3 were yummy and tasted as good as Singapore Chinese restaurant. Bill came out at 454k IDR which is pretty cheap and most important left with a happy stomach.

A group of 10 adults and we arrived at 5.30 pm, ordered Lobsters, prawn, steamed fish, chilli fish, kangkong, fried chicken, egg omelette. gong gong with steamed rice, and drinks - iced tea, coke, coconut for all. The food was served and the seafood fresh, taste okay - rather like home-cook by a new bride, but the service and the interval of the food was so long. Half of the drinks were served, and we waited for another half an hour there was no sign of the other drinks, as well as some of the food ordered. We waited till 7.30 pm total of 2 hours and the food was not totally out and got so frustrated and walked out, telling the cashier to put the tab onto our hotel room. The next day the Manager came knocking to ask for the bill we then realised the restuarant was not owned by Harris Barelang Resort. We went through the items and paid about Rupiah 1 million and fifty thousand so it was about US$65 - i would not say it is expensive but decent. The service and general hygiene needed to be improved.
