Diner fare with an upscale, unique twist. Casual atmosphere. High quality, homemade food. Local eggs, local seafood, pancakes, waffles, omelets, burgers, sandwiches, salads, steaks and so much more! Local's favorite.
You enter viewing a refrigerated case of desserts that look yummy. We can at a window booth not a stool at the counter. I like that they serve breakfast all day. We both chose the NY Rueben which was delicious and perfectly grilled with quality meat. $1 up charge for sweet potato fries. Although good, Iâm not sure $13 is too much for the size of the sandwich. And I wish they also had regular fries and Dijon mustard. I will return and try other items. Thank you for the kind review! We appreciate you stopping by and are pleased to hear both your meals were delicious! Thank you again for the feedback and we look forward to serving you some other unique items to try!

So we ate here last year during the boat show and ate here again while in-town for the boat show again. The food is still outstanding, the menu is still extensive. One thing I did notice is the water is "off". It tastes like plastic/chemicals so much so that we didn't drink our water so the proprietor may want to look into a filter at the supply. With that being the only gripe, the Azorian sandwich was outstanding, the smoothies very good, the OJ excellent, the crows nest very good. The bacon was disapointing as it was paper thin and tasteless like it was microwaved (which it was not). The sausage links were excellent and I think home made. There are a smattering of Portuguese inspired items on the menu. I inquired and the waitress confirmed the owner is Portuguese. The Portuguese do a great job with sausages and chorizo so keep and eye peeled on the menu for those Portuguese inspired items. Other than the bacon and the tap water I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. Newport is generally expensive but this place was an excellent value considering the quality of the food. We were at about $10/plate. Please don't go and make this crowded as we plan to be back every time we are in Newport.

Great food, made fresh in front of you, with fresh ingredients. Greek omelet was delicious. Spinach, tomatoes, onions, feta, and eggs were perfectly combined... messy but delish! The home fries were good, although less fresh due to sheer quantity. The blueberry pancakes were perfect. Recommend real maple syrup. Water pitchers and ice at each table. Busy, popular place, hence the wait. The chef was lovely and we watched him cook while we waited! Would go back for lunch or breakfast!

Is on Facebook
Only the locals will know this spot. On the "rotary. Lots of free parking.A vintage stainless steel diner in remarkedly good shape - often they are windy traps. Clean.Very friendly service. Large selection including daily specials.Had a "farmers omelet" - 3 eggs with shredded steak and cheese and of course the usual sides of home fries and toast. All tasty and a bit too much to eat (and I came hungry).Recommended.

We were pleasantly surprised by this diner. It has a smaller dining area with seats at the counter. Most of the patrons seemed to be workers grabbing breakfast before starting their day. It seemed everyone knew each other. The prices were very reasonable. You can tell, they take pride in the quality of their food. A delicious start to our day. Make sure you try one of the cinnamon rolls!
