Breakfast diner
It is hard to find a good breakfast place, they are all the same. But not this one! The menu is very creative, the staff is friendly and breakfast is delicious.Had breakfast there Sunday morning. Frittas are really good with homemade black bean cakes. Very unusual item for breakfast, but so worth ordering.

I am pleased to be the first to review this amazing new venue located on Wood Street in Bristol, Rhode Island! Warm and inviting from the moment you enter this newly renovated space. Clean, modern and comfortable. Our waitress Brook was extremely helpful as this was our first experience eating Japanese. Our choices were delectable, hot and plentiful! My husband enjoyed the Miso Ramen and I the Vegetable Tempura (which came with Miso soup, House Salad and Rice). We also ordered "sides" of Shrimp Shumai (the best we had ever tasted), Shitake mushrooms and asparagus which are served on small plates and skewered. You must also try the traditional rice tea. Everything was fabulous! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! It is a small establishment, but it was full the entire time we were there which says a lot for a Sunday night in small-town Bristol, Rhode Island. Can't wait to go back!

The Hope Diner not only dishes out tasty meals -- great eggs, bacon, pancakes, potatoes, sandwiches, etc. -- but also a lot of atmosphere, with the chef in the middle of the dining area, chatting with co-workers and customers. It's a friendly place.

I arrived with my group of six at 11:45 AM on Saturday morning. Restaurant was mobbed! A loud, frenetic atmosphere! It is not a very big place. There were many people standing and sitting at a bar like dining area. Maybe 8 to 10 tables. We were lucky to get one. They were menus on the table. Most people place their order by walking to the bar. There happened to be a lull as we arrive and so a waitress came over and took our order. Practice is available all day long. Iâll variety of sandwiches and burgers are on the menu with sides like french fries, fried onions, etc. A local specialty is called a âNew York system.â This is a hotdog â â â they called it a wiener â â â in a roll, smothered with mear sauce and onions. Another local special roll option is a âboloââ-Portuguese! Cheap eats! $35 for we six!! Iâd go back for sure!

Diner style.Now accepting credit cards.
I see why the locals love it. The portions are huge. It is a diner basically with mostly fried foods. Everything we had was very good (clam bellies, coleslaw, fried fish, etc). I think the quality is probably always consistent. There were many people picking up food while we were there, too. We'll go back. The server was fun and efficient.
