Step back in time at this eclectic train-car diner in the center of East Greenwich, RI. Eat in a booth or at the counter. The breakfast menu is astounding....almost too much to think about early in the morning. But take your time with it, there are lots of choices, from eggs to omelettes to sandwiches to Johnnycakes and everything in between. Diners can 'mix and match' their sides too, from traditional homefries to grits, fruit or really good corned beef hash. Eggs were fluffy; ham was traditional; potatoes were delicious. And they have Italian bread toast, which I've only found in one other Italian-American enclave...Waterbury, Connecticut. So check this place out. It's worth the wait on a Sunday morning or any morning. And try to meet the owner, she's wonderful.

How much fun can you have in a diner. Now everyone knows who you are.Nice. The menu is great and always has specials that are outstanding. The quality can not be beat. The servers are just as nice as you can get. They want to help you have a good meal. The owner is the daughter of the original owner who was a firecracker. The apple does not fall far from the tree. She loves to golf by the way.when you sit down you are either next to a truck driver or the owner of a huge construction company who does most all of the roads in New England. Everyone likes and respects all the people in the diner. great people. from eggs every way to steak you will never have a bad meal. Prices are just diner prices so everyone can have a full meal if they want it or get the burgers.outstanding. A great place to stop when on the road. You will if you are in the area go back more than once to this gem of a place. Large portions, always.see you there.

Across from the airport parking garage and the new Hyatt Hotel, Coast Line offers good food and quick service in a very casual atmosphere. I have been for breakfast a number of times and the portions are filling, the prices reasonable, and the servers friendly and attentive. Not a fancy place, but it serves the purpose of good food, quickly and reasonable. If your hotel does not serve breakfast, this will do the trick. Restrooms are small but clean and free wifi.

Travelling from Providence to Rhode Island for the day, we wanted to get breakfast en-route - chose Sunnyside and weren't disappointed. With a traditional US diner feel and friendly staff it was nice to eat with the 'locals' who clearly know tasty food when they see it and who were also super welcoming with lots of tips for us tourists. A really nice touch was the complimentary 'coffee-milk' a Rhode Island speciality which we've now brought back to the UK with us!
