Lots of menu options for all types of people. Had a fun Irish menu running, the shamrock panini was delicious and so was the brownie I had. Will be back.

If you enjoy going out to breakfast, Food Works is a must. I recently came here for the second time with my boyfriend. The California eggs benedict are phenomenal - fresh tomatoes, avocado, crispy bacon, and poached eggs all smothered under a delicious hollandaise sauce. The breakfast potatoes are delicious as well - crispy and not at all greasy. There were a handful of other creative spins on eggs benedict as well. The restaurant itself is in the typical breakfast place fashion - nothing too fancy. Definitely worth visiting again!

First visit. Off the beaten path. Free parking.Potentially good sunsets.Good staffing.Large menu with as Cajun and Caribbean twist. We had two of their specialty drinks (they are big on rums) - "Rum Runner" and "Passion Margarita". Well priced ($10) and generous size. First was a winner; the latter lacked the mezcal flavor.Split the nachos with "debris" (their take of the classic beef trimmings of Mother's in New Orleans). A large portion (enough for 3 to split), tasty, and maybe more heat than some would like.Entrees were the cheese board (OK but nothing special) and gumbo. The latter appeared to be small but it was a more than filling dish. More creamy than the standard preparation but very good.Overall a good spot that we'll visit again. Damages with tip was about $85.

Join us for a relaxing and memorable experience at the Boat House. Our locally inspired menu, creative cocktail offerings and unmatched hospitality provide the recipe for a great meal. With dramatic views of Mt. Hope Bay visible from nearly every seat in
The setting, the view, that's all terrific. The food was very good, not great. A couple of things left me less than excited as this was my first visit there. First, we were offered a table "on the covered terrace". The fact that it was immediately next to the bar as well as a table of ten was not mentioned. It was very noisy. Yes, I and the rest of our party are no longer young and therefore find the noise level more objectionable than we would have many years ago. However, the lovely young lady at the reception podium should have, I believe, been conscious of those factors. Anyhow, we survived and I was having images of a nice baked two pound lobster like the one we get at Bay Point in Quincy --- also with a nice water setting. BUT, when I asked about it I found out the lobster was a 1 1/4 pounder I lost interest. I think they call them chicken lobsters, but whatever it is called I would call that size totally inadequate. Oh, and the very nice hot rolls didn't reach us until almost when our dinners came out. So, pluses and minuses, but I doubt that I would take the hours ride it was for us again.Hi Murray300,Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear your visit did not exceed expectations. We wish we were made aware of the noise level at your table and would have done everything we could to relocate you to a quieter part of the restaurant. Our baked stuffed lobster is one of our most popular dishes and we hope you will join us again in the future and give it a try. I'm confident you will not be disappointed. Sincerely,Rebecca CampagnaGeneral Manager

We are a seaside, American restaurant with stunning views of the Sakonnet River. Available for dine-in or takeout. Water views on both sides, outdoor patio, in-house catering, live entertainment in beautiful Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Food is consistently good, friendly service & generous portions!Tonight we sat outside on the patio overlooking the Sakonnet River seeing as it was such a lovely night. Our server, Ashley, was super sweet and very friendly! Hubby and I each started with clam chowder. I had an order of steamers (very good) and he had fried calamari with banana peppers & a marinara sauce (very good as well).

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on our way into Newport for some tourist stuff. The entire staff was extremely welcoming! It is exactly what you would expect from a roadside diner... small, busy and friendly! I had scrambled eggs and hash. How do you mess that up? You donât! It was exactly as it was supposed to be. We also split a short stack of pancakes. Awesome! Two large, yet fluffy, buttermilk hotcakes. Perfect! Reasonably priced, good food and friendly staff! What more do you want from a diner?

We were leaving the hustle and bustle of Newport and stopped here for dinner on a whim. WOW, the food was sooooo good.... the service was great and we were very happy. On our way out the wait was very long apparently it's a big local spot. Definitely come by for a great meal. For an appetizer 3 main courses and 3 desserts plus soft drinks was sound $130. I would say relatively typical for the area. YUM!!!

Waterfront Dining > Restaurant > Seafood Restaurant
We had a beautiful corner table overlooking the water and outside deck. The service staff was friendly, fast and efficient. We shared a shrimp cocktail appetizer and the shrimp were so big that it took two bites to eat them. We both had the grilled swordfish and it was cooked to perfection and seasoned with pepper and lemon. The orders came with a good-sized salad, choice of starch and choice of veggies. The fresh bread was served with a nice, seasoned oil. We were too full to order dessert but the menu looked very inviting. Their wine list was surprisingly varied and reasonably priced. The wait staff found that perfect mix of checking on us a few times, but not to the point of distraction or annoyance. Cristina was our waitress and she did a great job! I would definitely eat here again!

Never a bad meal, the Tiki Bar tucked in the back and the art deco bar in front and the funky decor all contributes to a wonderful spot. We live in Newport and Salvation does not let you down. Great service, wait staff and bartenders are top notch. Menu is varied, food is plentiful and just damn good. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend Each room is a different adventure, and you're going to need plenty more visits to discover all of it. Our team is always happy to show guests how service is done, and with food this good, it's not hard to be happy all the time. Thank you so much for letting us know what we're doing right! Locally-sourced ingredients + farm-focused menu. Savor artisanal cheese, hand crafted dishes, paired with our 100% estate grown wines. Cozy up by the fireplace, enjoy wine flights at our bar or take in the vineyard views from our Overlook area.
I was hesitant on going here only because of a perception I had that was wrong. You know, Newport Area, Wine, and a classy looking outside made me think this was a bunch of folks who talk about their net worth's with lower jaws extended in a tux or fancy party dress (and would be better than making a run on sentence). I was wrong with my perception. I was also wrong that a winemaker would make a good beer. They make great beer, in fact one of the better thus far in the state.Appearance was great, Food was great, service was fantastic, beer was superb. I also felt fine to be there in a hoodie and jeans.Hello! Thank you for your visit, and for sharing feedback with us. We aim to offer comfortable, enjoyable experiences for all our guests, so the team is so glad to know we provided such! Your kind regards for our Taproot beer will be passed along to our brewer Kevin! Thank you again for sharing with us, we hope to see you back in sometime. Until then, cheers!
