Marielle was WONDERFUL!! as was our waitress Tatum! The band was GREAT too!! It all started with the hostess seating us early with a big smile!! Our drinks were delicious, as were our apps and entrees. There was a nice young man who lit out firepit for us. We are locals, it was a FUN nigh and we cannot WAIT to return!! Thank you very much for a great experience !!

Surrounded by historical cobblestone streets and world-famous yachts, Newport Hotel and Marina neighbors everything in the downtown area. From shopping and dining to simply strolling around and seeing the sights, we are steps away from experiencing the city by the sea.
We booked this hotel for a 2 night midweek couples getaway. The location is amazing, close to marinas and downtown too, and u get free parking for one car which is a nice perk. The hotel itself is really outdated, has a funky smell, and nothing special. One of the main reasons we booked this one in addition to location was the bike rental options but when we checked in the guy at the desk didn’t really have a clue how this worked - he said the bikes would be sitting in the lobby and we could just take them if we wanted, but then we noticed the bikes locked up in an outdoor shed by the marina - we didn’t end up wanting to use them anyway but the staff in general don’t seem to know what’s going on. Hotel has a small plot of land on the marina itself with some Adirondack chairs and fire pit and hammocks which was cute but not as nice or upkept as the photos on the website look. They also charge an amenity fee but the pool heater isn’t working so I’m a little irked they charged that. Honestly I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it, unless it was like 100-150 a night maybe I’d be willing to suck up the crappiness for a better value.

Located along the sandy beach of one of the most famous resort destinations, the Newport Beach Hotel and Suites stands as the freshest face of Newport. With its meticulously restored gambrel-style historic hotel and contemporary shingle addition, this seaside resort combines historic charm with contemporary sophistication. The original hotel completed a multi-million dollar restoration and the new suites addition, adjacent to the original hotel, features the largest and most luxurious guest rooms in Newport County.
This is a wonderful accessible beachfront hotel in the Newport area. There is a restaurant/bar available which is always a plus if you would like a night cap. There is a pool and a hot tub as well. However, it must be noted that you have to cross the street where you park your car and go to a different building if you’re in the hotel area. If you stay in the building where the family suites are, then you don’t have to go outside to access the pool area. The ocean is right across the street from the hotel. It’s a beautiful beach area as well as a walking area. The sidewalks are accessible for people who use wheelchairs as well. I don’t really have much to say besides the view was beautiful, the people were exceptionally helpful, and as with all places to stay in Newport they have their pluses and their limitations just due to the age of the buildings.

Our lobby bar serves cocktails, beer and wine most evenings until 10pm.
The only good thing we can say about this Hampton Inn is the staff and breakfast. Otherwise, it gives Hampton Inn a very bad image. The facility is essentially filthy from top to bottom. Everything is sticky, put something down, the furniture, walls, bathroom, everything is sticky. The facility should be closed down and a commercial cleaning crew needs to totally clean and disinfect. It was Graduation and there were no facilities anywhere that we could go to. We booked months ago, Hilton Honors and we arrived on a Thursday, paid for Wednesday a total of 5 days, stuck in Chicago. They put us in a room on 1st floor with a view of a brick wall. The phone didn’t work, nor the TV remote. The shower filled up with who knows what from every person before us. Immediately a foot of water, standing in filth. With Covid, did not want them in our room. Housekeeping if they cleaned the shower would have seen this. We booked a room for the next week and obviously canceled it and stayed at another clean hotel near the airport. Stay away from this bacterial Petri Dish! I wish I had read the reviews months ago, before son reserved it!

My friend and I enjoyed the 2BR Suite for a weekend. Can't imagine sharing the 2 BR Suite split into 2 1BR's. Settling on the thermostat would have been big issue. Yes, this is an old property and a bit farther out from main area, but not a far walk and property overall clean. The manager however would not say hello, answer where to park, etc.---just threw papers we signed at us. In the papers is something about parking, but the fellow guests that were helped by a different and helpful employee helped us (MEAN manager here that checked us in). The papers are a lot to read--there's many rules and regulations but nothing crazy. This as a big festival weekend so it was pricey but that is Newport on a busy weekend. Definitely will try to do more research next time.

Loved the property and location was sublime. Our room was ground floor with outside door entrance. There was no deadbolt or security lock on the door. When I approached the front desk about this they gave me a perplexed look. NONE of their hotel rooms had security locks. I asked for the hotel manager to speak with me ASAP as they could easily had a handy man install a security lock. Each night we pushed our couch against the door for extra protection. We were there 3 days and never saw the manager. Spoke times with the front desk at check out and were given a refund for our inconvenience. 6 weeks later still no refund on my credit card. Had to write to the manager about this and again ask her to contact me about me concerns. 3 weeks since my letter and I have received my refund but no contact from the manager, not a letter, email, phone call nothing. Sooooo. Here is my review.

Sandy Shore is a family owned Ocean Front hotel located on the Beautiful Rhode Island Coast, in the heart of Misquamicut Beach. Along with our private beach for guests, we also have an Ocean front outdoor Coctail Bar where you can enjoy a wide variety of adult, and non alcholic beverages right on the beach. We also Serve lunch and dinner at our Beach bar, and Breakfast lunch and dinner at our new Restaurant, Gino's By the beach located directly across the street from the hotel. All rooms come with AC, cable, free wifi, a refrigerator, and best of all every room is an Ocean front view! There are many shops, restaurants, and activities within walking distance. A 20 minute drive is foxwoods Casino, which includes Tanger outlets, and Mystic CT attractions. We are known for our dedicated friendly staff, who will always make you feel right at home. We have many different room types to accommodate couples or families, including 1 and 2 bedroom suites with full kitchens.
There is no rescue or rehab to be had for this vile, dirty, smelly, dangerous, mismanaged horror of a motel run by an equally obnoxious rude nasty man. The rates are outrageous to begin with and once you see the conditions of this long expired property and the disgusting rooms you will see just how outrageous. The staff are not just lazy they are nasty, rude and clueless. They demonstrate consistently they don’t care and if you make an issue of the smells or filth in a room or some unsafe condition then the repulsive owner comes out of his cave and subjects you to absurdly condescending and abusive behavior. We are at a loss to understand how this sad disgusting place is still in business. It’s gross. It’s a hazard and you will get sick. Ready for the wrecking ball.

Dynamic and breathtaking, Castle Hill Inn promises an exclusive, luxury experience for each guest who visits. The property's 40 acres offer everything from panoramic water views, and rustic hiking trails to private beaches and hidden rocky coves. In summer, guests come to unwind and enjoy the Newport social scene that gathers on the Lawn, which slopes from an elegantly restored 19th-century mansion out to Narragansett Bay. During cooler months, Castle Hill becomes more of a private retreat, perfect for escapes from city life but still close to the amenities of downtown Newport. Year round, the property also boasts world-class dining that showcases the best of Rhode Island's seasonal bounty, Castle Hill's extraordinary setting only becomes more beautiful with each turn of season, and we do our best to match its brilliance with unmatched service for our guests. The Inn at Castle Hill is a jewel and a sublime property offering a refined respite from over-crowded vacation spots. The beachfront accommodations were beautifully equipped and lunch on the Lawn was a treat!
