Good wines, good tapas .... yes we were surprised to get tapas here, nice sitting on the outside terrace ..... we enjoyed itThanks a lot for your feedback. Hope to see you back soon.
We went after our Rheinsteig stage that dropped us in Lorch. After seeing so many vineyards, we had a serious hankering for some wine. This please was great. Quick facts: We were the only non-locals. The service was friendly and quick. Wine was great and a great value (approx. 10â¬/bottle). There is outside smoking area and inside non-smoking. Dogs can be outside (there is water/bowls for them). Pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of the small dishes. Ranging from handkäse (type local of cheese to put be on bread) to must-order spring rolls (Frühlingsrollen). Wine can be ordered to go.
We ate here because one of our friends is vegetarian. The food is Turkish in style and very delicious. We shared a few dishes, all vegetarian, but we all agreed that it was very good. Excellent wine and servixe too.
Amazing selection of wine at brilliant prices. Lovely outdoor area which would be amazing in the summer. Food looked good although we weren't hungry enough to eat here ourselves but other tables looked like they thoroughly enjoyed theirs!
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Rooms were modern and comfortable. Breakfast was individually cooked. And the host and hostess were helpful and friendly. Thoroughly recommendable

Enjoy regional products and wines from the winery Laquai. We like to welcome you in a nice and friendly atmosphere.
We were recommended by our landlady to eat here, we went down for a beer first to have a look, it is situated overlooking the river, we were made welcome to sit out side in the afternoon sun, the place was quite busy with lots of different people dropping in to eat and drink we noticed at lot of locals were there which is always a good thing, the restaurant is also biker friendly.we asked about coming back later to eat and were more or less informed they had already reserved us a table of 6 for 730 the landlord had a great sense of hummer so we said we would be there for 8, We turned up just before 8 to find a coach load just being seated, he came over seated us at our table gave us German and English menus to choose from (they are the same meals just look different when written) we joked over the coach party with him ordered our drinks a few minutes later we ordered our meals which didn't take that long really to come out, we would definitely recommend the onion soup with cognac, we all commented on it never had anything like it before and so far haven't had anything like it since, we all chose more or less different main meals and all our meals were homemade, flavour some and plenty full, after we finished our meals we asked if we could stay for a few beers out side as it appeared to us they were closing, we were invited to an outside table and informed as long as we wanted to sit and drink they would serve us, as we were riding the next day we didn't stay late but we really were made to feel welcome. we would not hesitate to recommend stopping here to either eat, drink or just sit at a table with a coffee chilling out and talking with friends, the river as a back drop is just so relaxing and inviting.

We enjoyed two wine flights and a meat and cheese platter outside on the patio. I had to go inside to order and to pay.

Recommended by Rick Steves, lots of reviews on the web.
A delightful restaurant with seating indoors and on the terrace. There is a good selection of local food, well presented and delicious. The food is supplemented by wine from Fritz Bastian (among others) and the staff are able to recommend suitable wine for the chosen menu items. The helpings are substantial, and I can particularly recommend the Flammkuchen (tarte flambee) - both the "standard" type and also the sweet one (apples, sugar, cinnamon). The courtyard has a number of lovely potted plants, small and large and there is a delightful ambience.

Beautiful old building thankfully not much altered in five hundred years.Single server/barman/pizza chef working like a blur but managing to cope.Terrific crisp pizzas and a bottle of local Reisling capped a lovely visit (by ferry) to this gem of an historic town. Yes it is close to the autobahn but much better to link with a stop off on a day cruise as we did from Ammanshausen up river.
