The title says it all, I really think the pizza is ok. The price is ok, it's just average. They have a nice brick oven but they ruin it somehow by making it soggy. Even if you don't load up on toppings. I lived in Italy for 4 years, this isn't Italian it's German Italian.

I went walk-about in Kaiserslautern one night during a recent business trip and found this lovely restaurant. A very cosy place. The service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. I had carpaccio to start, which was excellent. I followed by a small plate of lamb chops which were very good. I had a large coffee and was offered a small schnapps (very very nice). The menu is not overly large, but from what I could observe from other diners: all items were cooked well. I would return here again.

The Il Mondo restaurant was recommended to us by locals when we asked for a place with long opening hours (apparently, not so many restaurants still offer food on a Friday night after 22 h in Kaiserslautern). When we arrived shortly after 22 h, we were informed that we could still order salads and pizza. We then had tomato salad with buffalo mozzarella for starters and pizzas (Parma and Diavolo) as the main course, all of really good quality, the pizzas are made in a traditional wood-fired oven. They had a surprisingly good choice of wines (including Tignanello and Sassicaia) which we would not have expected in a "Pizza & Pasta" restaurant. We ordered a bottle of Barolo which was very good. While we cannot comment on the meat and fish courses they also offer, we would definitely dine at this restaurant again next time in Kaiserslautern.

Have tried on many occasions to get a table and finally managed to get a reservation gif Sunday lunch. The place is very welcoming and was nicely decorated. Excellent, friendly and prompt service. The menu was quite extensive plus there were several daily specials posted on the board. We enjoyed the wind and the food and will definitely return.

Very busy restaurant, reservations are highly recommended. Attentive staff, the usual exuberant Italian greetings etc. Extensive food and wine menu. Lovely atmosphere/ambiance. Food very good but IMHO way overpriced. I've had the same quality of Italian food at smaller, less ostentatious , authentic Italians for a lit less money. I'll probably go back for a special occasion.

We visited the restaurant with 10 of us following a business meeting. The owner arranged a variety of hot and cold starters to kick off the dinner (all very tasty, freshly made). Thereafter each chose their own main meal, specifically the Saltimbocca and the Argentinian steak were popular. We combined this with some nice Barolo and Pinot Grigio.

This is an excellent Greek restaurant. I highly recommend food was presently nicely and delicious. Only issue is parking but we found an excellent spot and it was worth the walk.

As I had to make the drive between Belgium and Vienna a number of times over the last few years, I was happy to discover this little gem in the beautiful area outside Kaiserslautern in SW Germany, a few km from the A6 and A63 motorways. A splendidly converted mill, its original structure elegantly blended on the outside with modest-sized but impeccable brand-new hotel facilities, and on the inside with a first-class restaurant originally started by Sterne-cum-Haube chef Martin Scharff, and now run by his partner Anja Scharff and team. Food is very creative mix of mostly fresh local and therefore seasonal ingredients lovingly cooked and artfully presented in "nouveau-Mediteranean" style. All accompanied by superb choice of again mostly local (i.e. Germen) "Spitzenweine" personally selected by knowledgeable Omar the Maitre-d who scours the markets and fairs for them. And serves them glassweise to his better guests (count this as a Geheimtipp :-) )As for the guest facilities, save it be said that they are modern, German, and comfortable and that the breakfast is a good, honest, ample, fresh buffet. The whole of the erstwhile mill is set on large grounds, there is a great leafy terrace for outside dining in summer and a very cosy vaulted ceiling dining room with open fireplace in winter.I assigned this place an 8 score on my private 0-10 "End-Of-Journey" scale measuring the instinctive emotional impact a place has on me when arriving at the end of a long drive, tired and hungry and usually late in the evening :-)

The food at Zum Rathaus is authentically Greek, consisting mainly of meat prepared on a charcoal grill right in the middle of the restaurant and accompanied by French fries and salad. The hors d'oeuvres platter is filled with traditional Greek appetizers such as tzatsiki, feta, olives, etc. and very filling. Healthy, good food at reasonable prices.
