We stayed a few days and had our wedding there. The setting is beautiful. The garden is a mixture of herbs, wild flowers and lush ornamentals. We could sit on the terrace in the garden. The food, a buffet was excellent and so were the accompanying wines. In the mornings we had a very generous breakfast. The staff was very friendly.

Das Restaurant liegt direkt an der Durchgangsstrasse. Genügend Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Aber Vorsicht! Auf dem Parkplatz gegenüber ist das Auslegen einer Parkscheibe Pflicht. Sonst kann es teuer werden! Der Jägerhof selbst empfängt den Gast schon mit dem für einen Landgasthof üblichen Ambiente. Die Bedienungen sind freundlich und nett. In mehreren Räumen stehen weit über 100 Plätze zur Verfügung. Die Speisekarte umfasste etwa 20 - 25 Gerichte; preislich beginnen die Hauptgerichte bei 15,--⬠und sind eher dem gehobenen Niveau zuzuordnen. Die Getränkepreise empfanden wir als noch normal (Ein Bier 3,50⬠- eine Rieslingschorle -0,5l- 4,40â¬). Wir bestellten geschmorten Schweinenacken mit Klösen und Rotkraut. Alles war sehr gut zubereitet. Auch geschmacklich gab es nichts auszusetzen. Wir waren insgesamt zufrieden. Für unsere beiden Essen zahlten wir incl. Getränke rd. 40,--â¬. EC-Kartenzahlung ist möglich; Kreditkarten werden nicht akzeptiert.

I stopped on my way through to Alsace and wished Iâd continued on to eat in France. The goulash soup was tasty, but extremely filling as it had so much meat and other items in it that it was more like chili than any goulash soup Iâve had before. In Germany, white asparagus with boiled potatoes and hollandaise is nearly a regional tradition. There are âSpargel-Karteâ in many restaurants listing the seasonal dishes featuring this well-loved specialty food. So, you usually can get excellent white asparagus dishes almost anywhere that offers them. This was literally the most over-cooked asparagus I have even been served â then it wasnât drained properly so the hollandaise was immediately diluted by the standing cooking water. What a disappointment for my last chance to eat Spargel this Spargelzeit.
