Meat quality seems fine, service is fine, although rather slow. No biggie this far.. 3 burger choices. If you customize, prizes skyrocket rather fast. Still ok at this point. Burger is ready. Fries: standard mass produced, frozen crap fries without flavor. I mean you really have to go cheap to screw up fries!!Burger itself, even after a load of salt and pepper: the most bland burger I have ever had. Not just bland but boooooring! No oomph, no excitement and mouth happiness to offset the calories. I ordered multiple sauces of which I received one tiny blob mid plate, halfway over the fries. It didn't improve the flavor in any way! 13 euros for a crap burger. No individual items piled on it were palate-recognizable in any way. You. might as well eat cardboard. All hype and no product to back it up. Don't trust the positive yelp reviews....even if they came from drunks, at the end of the evening.....SKIP...next, please!
Where to eat International food in Mainz: The Best Restaurants and Bars

After seeing the opera, we visited for a late dinner. The waiters recognised our accents and thoughtfully provided English menus. The four burgers were lovely, as was the sweet potato chips to share. The chocolate cake was delicious and generous. The only criticism was that there was no coffee after 11pm. Recommend.

As an American, I feel that I have very high standards for burgers. I love a good juicy burger from a pub... especially one that is a bit creative. Bully's Burger is a very creative burger joint. I had the 'Hawaiian Burger' topped with grilled bacon, grilled pineapple, cheese and a curry mango sauce. Very delicious! Every element of the burger was flavorful! I am also gluten free and unfortunately they do not have gluten free bread but you can eat the burger without a bun. Also, they have sweet potato fries. Something that is very popular in the states but is just coming to Germany. There are a few downsides to this restaurant. It is small, I mean tiny! maybe 7 people can eat at the same time. Don't go with your dogs or small kids. There just isn't the room. They have outdoor seating in the summer which is better. Also, parking is hard. This place is walking distance from the Mainz HBF and traffic/parking is not easy. Take the bus or walk, but definitely go if you want an awesome burger!
