Tatsächlich einer der besten Läden in Grünstadt mittlerweile, wenn man mal ungezwungen mit der Familie essen will. Abwechslungsreiche Karte, freundliche Bedienungen, schneller Service, moderate Preise, gutes Essen, angenehmes Ambiente. Ãberrascht waren wir von der wirklich sehr guten Whiskey-Auswahl, da kommt manche GroÃstadtbar nicht mit. AuÃerdem sind immer gute Aktionen am Start. Wir gehen mittlerweile auch mal hin, wenn kein Film kommt, der uns interessiert, weils echt ein empfehlenswerter Laden ist. Auch das Wochenendfrühstück bis 12.30 ist echt gut, zumal man in Grünstadt echt kaum irgendwo frühstücken kann. Gut, daà unser Ort endlich so einen Laden hat.

Hochwertige Küche zu angemessenen Preisen. Wer die Musik und Gutes Essen mag der ist hier genau richtig. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Hier kocht der Chef mit Liebe und Leidenschaft und das schmekt man. Wenn man dann ein Gläschen guten Wein getrunken hat kann man dann auch vieleicht das ein oder andere Lied in familiärer Atmoshäre mitsingen und Spaà haben. Ich werde öfters mal einen schönen Abend dort verbringen.

We, sadly, were only here for one night. But after a string of mediocre hotels with bad beds, or bad internet, or bad showers, or bad something, this place was a breath of fresh air. We can't think of a single bad thing to say about it! The bed was huge and comfy, the room was huge and clean, it had a soaker tub and solid internet, and the owner gave us such wonderful, personal attention throughout our stay. Parking was easy (we just parked at the side of the building), and the town is quintessentially German. It's right in the middle of the Pfalz wine region (and the hotel is also a winery), and there are literally dozens of wineries within walking distance, and hundreds within an hour of driving. We won't hesitate to stay here again, and we'll make sure to book a longer stay next time!

Went here for dinner after our bus tour through the wine region. Service was fast and friendly. Food was very good and came quickly. Setting was beautiful and we all had a great time. Highly recommend this to all in area.

The address "Neugasse 81", in the center of Grünstadt, which is mentioned on TA as the address of the restaurant, is the place where the owners started the business with a pizza delivery service (explaining the name "Fliegende Italiener" - "Flying Italian"). The delivery service is still operating, but the restaurant, opened a couple of years ago, is situated in the city park, right at the tennis courts. Put the address "Stadtpark 3" in your sat nav. So now we have arrived at the right spot; parking is free in the area around the restaurant. The restaurant is situated on the first floor; downstairs is the kitchen. Sitting down can be inside of course, but the restaurant features a large outside sit-down area between tennis courts. As the weather was glorious for April, we selected of course an outside table. The menu offers a large selection of Italian food with a nod to the German taste. Also a lunch menu with value deals is offered. From the lunch menu I selected the salmon and spinach lasagna. Delicious, a compliment to the chef. As desert an irresistible home made piece of tiramisu was available. And it was home made, seeing the profile of the savoiardi lady fingers in my helping. Service was excellent and the bill was moderate due to the "value-for-money" lunch offering. I have added Die Fliegende Italiener to my short list of restaurants in the world where to visit when in the vicinity. During my stay in Grünstadt I even visited Die Fliegende Italianer a second time, at that occasion enjoying another fish dish and a tartufo as dessert.

Wer einmal hier war, kommt sicher wieder ! ...Und bringt am besten gute Freunde mit, um das AuÃergewöhnliche gemeinsam zu erleben und zu genieÃen. In urgemütlich toller Atmosphäre und einem ganz besonderem Ambiente. Das Lokal ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, und präsentiert sich mit dem Hauptraum im Oberen, der Kaminstube im Unteren, und dem begrünten Biergarten im Hof. Leckere Gerichte und Getränke sorgen hier für wahre Gaumenfreuden. Und für gröÃere Gesellschaften und Feiern steht das überdachte "Festgelände mit Sandsteinbar" zur Verfügung, auf dem es sich (in den wärmeren Monaten) zünftig feiern lässt. We have been there after a short walk in the vineyards. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The menu was diverse and making the decision was difficult as everything looked nice. The wine list offers several local and also international wines which is rather unique in the weinstrasse. The service was very well done. So, for sure we will go back.

This restaurant I cannot more highly recommend this restaurant. The owners are incredibly friendly and have become our go to spot for wonderful food. Their veal liver with onions is the only beef liver I will touch and 10 year old loves it even. Their rump steak is the best around, as is most of the their greek dishes, in particular their lamb chops...simply the best. The food is outstanding, but it is the service that is even better, if that is possible. They do speak English which makes it nice if your German is not the strongest. Reservations are a must.
