This place is quite interesting placed near a cascade. Service is amazing, the guys there speak several Languages from English, German and Romanian. They have a terrace but also inside place with a really nice architecture. Food is good and the beer is local.

My husband and I stayed at this Hotel that we booked online not knowing what to expect! To our surprise, the Hotel Staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one! The breakfast buffet was very nicely done and they had a very wide selection. The minor issues that we had was our room was facing a main street and it was next to the train station, so you can imagine...it was loud! If you want quiet please be sure to ask to face the other direction (facing the burg). They really have a beautiful view and terrace! The Hotel room was a bit hot, but all in all very spacious and comfortable. We really had a fantastic time there as hiking was our goal. We will stay in the SAARHOTEL JUNGBLUT again, however, facing the burg. Klaus and Corina
Daniel the maître d' couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, finding us a table without a reservation on a busy night. The steaks are out of this world!

We ended up here by coincidence while cycling along the Saar. The terrasse is nice for people who cannot afford a fancy dinner inside the hotel or for people who like us who are cycling along the river and need something to eat. We had Flammekuchen and a salad and the food was ok, something you can expect in a place like this. What I mean, it is not to die for, but it was fresh and tasty. The waiters picked up our orders very quickly, but we had to wait a while for the Flammekuchen. People who had ordered salads got their food more quickly. Might be good to know if you are in a hurry. We can come back here for a lunch, or for a dinner at the hotel.

It was very pleasant to sit outside at their terrace for a drink. We also tried two of their tapas style dishes to accompany our beers and both were very good. Overall, very pleasant place to sit by the river in Saarburg.

This is the home of the famous Saarburger Strudel. Seating outside gives wonderful views of the Wasserfall (waterfall) that runs through the middle of picturesque town
Upon entering the small cafe you are struck by the funky décor and the fifties music playing in the background. We stopped by in the afternoon for some tea and coffee but could not resist ordering the Saarburg Strudel, their specialty. The apple strudel is served on a big plate topped and surrounded by ice-, vanilla-, chocolate- and whipped cream. Quite a meal, we didn't need dinner that day. With the friendly service it made for a pleasant break in our tour of the historic town center.

This restaurant is located in the town centre of Saarburg, so you have to expect some walking (you can not park in front of the door). This is not a typical touristical trap, you will receive there a good local/German meal for an affordable price, even if it's not cheap.Service is very polite and friendly. Nothing to complain about.

Upper crust restaurant with white table cloths and silver cuttlery but without being snobby. Food prices a bit higher than other local restaurants, but that was very well reflected in the quality of the food. Superb! As it was asparagus season we had that as main dish together with veal and veal schnitzel. Perfectly cooked asparagus and great sauce to go with it. Overall highly recommended place if you do not mind paying up a bit more - but not over priced at all.

Because of the positive reviews and good rating we chose for this restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was not that good. As a first dish we ordered the onion soup. The bread with the melted cheese was delicious. The soup itself was not so tasty. As a second I ordered some special schnitzel with onions and mushrooms on top of it. Here it went fully wrong; there was no taste in the onions and the mushrooms. Were they cooked in water? Were the mushrooms from a can? We asked them to recommend a dry white wine. The wine seemed semi-sweet and it was not served cold enough. Definitely, not a wine of quality. In conclusion, the offered meal was unfortunately well below our expectations.
