Hidden gem at the side of the river. Would never had thought that this was a restaurant if not for TripAdvisor and Google. Yay to the power of the internet. Had it not been for that, this gem would have gone undiscovered.First off, the seating area is above the kitchen and with full glass covering the place, it is bright and cozy place that allows for a stunning view of the river and the bank across.Secondly, going there before the lunch crowd was a plus as it allowed us the freedom to move around and take pictures as we liked.Drinks here were a bit more pricey as compared to the other places we've eaten at, but it is to be expected. The food portion tho looking small/little, was filling and tasty.Recommend this place for a romantic dinner or special occasion. Give this place a try if you want to just sit and admire the river in shaded comfort as boats go by.

Restaurant is right across the street from the train station, so it's very convenient when traveling about the Rhine valley. My husband had a normal dish with chicken, cheese, pineapples, and potato croquettes. He said it was pretty good. Unfortunately, there were vastly fewer options for me as someone with Celiac Disease. Trip Advisor lists gluten-free options under the cuisine type, and I really wish they would remove it. Literally the only option for me was salad, though the cook did grill some chicken for me in what I assume was a safe manner because I didn't get sick. It was a nice salad, and I would have been perfectly happy with it if I hadn't been expecting more choice. Salads are kind of par for the course in the Celiac game, but I got my hopes up, I think. If you don't have dietary restrictions, this would be a really good and convenient place to stop and eat. Though it's close to the train station, the clientele seemed local and the food all looked and smelled really tasty. That's why I gave it a "very good" rating even though my review sounds really cranky. The salad really was very tasty.

Maximilian's can accommodate some 1500 people if you take into account the seating both inside and out so getting a table isn't usually a problem. Despite the size of the place the service was fast and friendly, with English menus available. The food we found to be very good as was the beer, especially the alcohol free pils on tap. The atmosphere was terrific and you can watch the river traffic on the Rhine as you feast on pork knuckle.

We visited this restaurant on Saturday evening about 19:00 on 22 August 2015. Since this year there has been an unusually large number of bees flying around outside, as we arrived we debated whether to eat inside or outside. Since we did not see any bees outside and it was such a lovely evening, we decide to eat outside, (during our visit there, no bees bothered us). I made a reservation before our visit and our table as requested was waiting for us, as we arrived. The Capitano Hafenrestaurant Menu has a large variety of meals both German and Italian cuisines. The Menu is easy to read and understand. Plus, salads, soups, pasta, and fish plates (for vegetarians), are also available. In addition, they have meals for the small appetite and special meals for children. Prices are average and food portions are average and fair. After studying the menu, we ordered our drinks. I only saw coke in the 0,3 l size. I would have preferred a choice of coke in more than one size. However, we did not have to play the drink game, since the same person that took our order brought our drinks and she did not have to ask who ordered what. Our drinks came relatively quickly and they were nice and cold. Also, they came before our food arrived, as it should be. Supposedly this restaurant offers its customers bread with their meals. However, since we were not offered any bread when our entrées were served, we asked for some. The bread then came shortly after we asked for it, with quark to spread on it. The quark had a very good taste. A novel and functioning idea at this restaurant, was that our food and drink orders were taken at the table by our waitress with a computerized order system that immediately communicated our order to the kitchen. In fact, our orders were communicated so quick to the kitchen that when my partner decided to modify her order with a salad, I had to immediately track down and tell the waitress. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel (1 large piece of meat) with fries and salad for 10,50 â¬. My partner had the Spaghetti with shrimps (which was served spicy and hot) for 12,90 â¬. My partner also ordered a salad with chicken. My schnitzel was delicious and since I tasted my partnerâs Spaghetti, I can recommend both dishes as delicious. Both salads were served at the same time but unfortunately, we had little time to eat them before our main entrées came. The reason salads and bread is served before the main entrée, is so that customers have something to eat while they wait for their main entrée.The outside tables and chairs are sturdy. The outside tables are simply decorated, with a paper table runner (that unfortunately was old and dirty), coasters, list of special offers, and a clean ash tray. The restaurantâs outside area is roomy and well organized concerning space and the tables are nicely spaced with room between them for people to move about within the terrace without having to disturb other customers and even with the tables full, it is not chair back on chair back. Seat Cushions are available for outside chairs. Most of the outside tables were protected from the rain or sun with either a sun umbrella or a marquee. The outside tables are for 4 persons. However, if necessary, by moving the tables and chairs together, they can seat 8 or 12, etc. Therefore, it would be a great place for a special occasion or a big group. From the elevated terrace one has a great view of the Boat Marina, camping area beyond, the Mosel River, ships on the Mosel, and the other side of the Mosel near Winningen. Since the restaurantâs inside and outside terrace eat areas are up above the street level, the loudness of outside activities could have some but a limited effect on customers. It is a shame however that the restaurant doesnât have background music playing outside. I noticed that dogs were also welcome, outside. Since we did not sit inside, I cannot comment on the restaurantâs inside seating area. This restaurant does not have its own parking lot. However, nearby there is a parking area for those that come to the marina and camping area. Therefore, one does not have to go hunting for a parking space on a side street and pay for parking. We found a parking space just 30 meters from the restaurant. At the bottom of the steps leading to the Restaurantâs terrace, conveniently there is a Menu posted. Unfortunately, the steps leading up to the terrace were dirty with trash and the plants were over grown on to the steps.Disabled access: While there are two series of steps leading to the restaurant, unfortunately they both have about 20 steps. However, once above on the terrace, disable persons can easily reach the outside eating area and also access the restaurantâs inside eating area. Tables and chairs outside can be moved to provide wheelchair access. Since we did not sit inside, I cannot review the restaurantâs inside seating area. We were friendly wished a pleasant day, as we paid our bill, received the correct change, and gave the waitress her tip. This restaurant has its own Internet page. This Internet page has lots of information on it, such as the location with map, telephone number, opening hours, email contact information, photos, On-line reservation form and an On-line Drink and Food Menu. But it is only in German.Summary: Based on friendliness, taste, price, service, and atmosphere, my overall rating for this restaurant is an above average recommendation.

Probably the best restaurant (at reasonable prices) in Coblence. Excellent service as well. Menus in English are available and the waiters speak English as well.

An excellent restaurant and worth seeking out (not in the best part of Koblenz). Genuine, tasty Greek food in stylish surroundings, good service and complementary Ouzo and Cherry liqueur.

The restaurant is placed in an historic castle mill from the 11th century. "Alte Mühle" Thomas Höreth is located in a sunny side valley of the Moselle. Steep terraced vineyards reach close to the mill. Pilgrims used to eat here in ancient times when they

We went to Winningen to check out the restaurants and parked close to Klein's Fronhof so we sat outside to have a drink. The two waiters were of a type, disinterested and surly. A cyclist who tried to leave his bike against the wall was severely chastised in no uncertain terms by mine host so he left without refreshment. Nothing wrong with the wine or coffee but the complete lack of hospitality was totally at odds with our experiences in Germany. The following evening we decided to try a meal there. Just after 8.00 pm I asked one of the waiters if we could have a table for two and was told no, the place was now closed. Now I'm sure he meant fully booked but he was brusque to the point of rudeness. We have another 4 days in the area and wont be returning. Fortunately the night before we had an excellent meal round the corner in Brunnenklause so we went back there to be greeted warmly and enjoyed another excellent meal.

Sat down here at 8pm on a Saturday evening. It was quite busy. It was difficult to get attention, you had to chase a waitress rather than them coming to you.Ordered drinks, starter and main course. Drinks came fairly quickly. Starter arrived at 8.30pm. Then we sat until 9.30pm with no food. We were sat next to a group of 4. The 1st diner had finished his meal before the 4th diner had got their food. At 9.30 I asked where the food was and I was told 'We only have a small kitchen'. I don't class myself as a business genius but the obvious answer is have less tables. Waitresses seem to be coming out with just one plate at a time.At 9.40 after waiting 1 hour 10 minutes for my meal, I paid for my drinks and left.Wild horses wouldn't drag me back there.
