If you're looking for a "fancy restaurant" experience at an affordable price, go here. The food is delicious and beautifully presented in an elegant (but family-friendly) atmosphere. A colleague from Rome introduced me to this restaurant. I eat here frequently with friends or with my significant other. It is often difficult finding real Italian food in Germany, as most restaurants adjust the cuisine to the German palate. The owner is kind and serves tables herself.

Called here for lunch after noticing beautifully presented food being brought out to tables outside. We decided to eat a light lunch after a busy morning and chose pizza and homemade soups. The waiter was great and could speak good English which was a bonus as none of our party of 4 has more than a few words of German. The pizzas were huge and we definitely could have shared between two! The homemade tomato soup and the homemade mushroom soup was delicious and served with a small piece of toasted farmhouse bread. Coffee was good too. Will certainly return next time we are in the area. Prices were amazingly low for this town. Take a trip to the toilets .....you will walk through many beautiful rooms and passageways.

An initiative of several local wine producers to come up with a place to enjoy high quality regional wines. If it is for testing or just taking a break - the place offers good quality, reasonable prices and a superb location. Do not hesitate to buy if you like the wine.

The food of course was fantastic, the service was over the top, and the atmosphere was beautiful! Even the walk from the parking lot to the restaurant was beautiful! Bingen is a beautiful little town with many nice restaurants, we are living in the Frankfurt area and love frequenting this area. The "Mouse Castle" is one of the famous land marks here. I write on traveling in Germany and Europe, my name is Debra LeCompte, and you can easily find so many great places to see in Germany and all of Europe!

Great venue, walked off the Titan river cruise boat and straight into this lovely quaint restaurant. The staff were suitably dressed in Santa outfits and very pleasant with it as well. We were made very comfortable and the food was excellent and at a reasonable price for this time of the year. The Rüdesheim Kaffie is a must, trust me. Well done and Merry Christmas

Gutsausschank mit groÃem Restaurant in Bingen-Büdesheim
Spent a great spring evening at this typical German restaurant with its generous portions of everything, food and wine. The wine list is impressive with a large variety of wines mostly riesling and its burgunder (burgundy) whites. The schnitzels are huge and you can add a salad and fries if you're really hungry. Try some of the local starters with cheese in an onion flavoured dish. Very good.

We had a pizza where the pizza base was something you would expect was purchased from a cheap wholesaler. The toppings were 98% bad cheese - by a long distance the worst pizza ever. The lasagne was supposedly home made but when it arrived it was still very cold in the centre. It was without comparison the worst meal (!!!) I had ever had. We left two 1/3 eaten meals and the staff were apparently used up this as there were no comments. This is supposed to be the 3rd best restaurant in town! There are much better alternatives in Town; do not waste your money and life here!!

My wife and I decided not to take the organized tour of the town offered by our river cruise company, so we took a short walk to this great restaurant I'd found on TA before our trip in mid-June. We were NOT disappointed. The schnitzel we ordered for dinner was far better that the same that was served on our cruise, was a larger serving, and came with fries and a nice salad- oh, the price was about $13 US. The staff was very professional as well as friendly. Our outside table near the alley was perfect for a relaxing evening in Rudesheim am Rhein- minus the tour groups. We noted at least six nearby tables resereved for dinner later on a Sunday night, so this place has a very good reputation. Our thanks to the nice people at Ratsstube who made our visit to their town so special. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I am not sure that I would describe this as 'a gem' as a previous reviewer has seen fit to do so. Staying at the nearby NH Hotel I sought a lunch venue for a solo and hungry traveler to see him through to dinner-time. The Calimero was available on a Sunday afternoon in an otherwise deserted little town. But it would be unfair to describe it as 'any port in a storm', nor could I realistically rate it without tasting its wider range of culinary offerings. I wanted a pizza and it is only upon that basis that I can assess the venue. The pizza was good, thin based, crispy, not soggy in the middle and a glass of Italian red was dry and reasonably rounded. For â¬12 it did the job. The place was clean, well patronised by locals (a good sign) and the staff were pleasant and efficient. If I was trying out some more demanding dishes I might be raising the rating to four, but for what I had it was fair-to-good.
