After being ignored by ALL staff outside who seem hellbent on ignoring anyone, I eventually found out you grab a table, pick your food, get your drinks and return to your table with a number. With the number of staff on hand, it would not be hard to offer a table service and would make people more inclined to perhaps order additional items (another wine/desserts etc.), but alas their business model is not that way, and I wasn't going to join another queue for another wine.On the plus side, the wine is good and they've a good selection on offer. We ordered the snitzel with potatoes (took me a while to figure out that's what I wanted as it's a potato dish with a side of snitzel).Very reasonably priced (think just over â¬20 for 2 mains and 2 wines).Service is a massive let down with the poor staff wandering around aimlessly looking for a number on a table somewhere, even at times the table is the path - far better ways of working the service here. That said, I'd recommend it and would go back.

This potato centric restaurant has a nice outdoor patio on a busy square. The menu is not exclusively potatos but they are availible in many ways, some of which are unique! Our group of 6 were very happy with the meals we chose. The service was good and our waitress even asked the chef for the recipe for one of the potato dishes for us!Recommended.

Really enjoyed a good German meal at this busy restaurant with a half bottle of local white Reisling. Sat outside under the umbrellas and we ate a really delicious dish of fried calves liver with onions, apple and creamed potatoes plus a dish of bratwurst, chopped liver, a smoked gammon loin, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Pleasant and helpful staff, good value for the size and quality of the meal. Recommended.
Modern place with good atmosphere. With friends, family or as a couple this is a perfect restaurant for a good dinner. The menu 3 courses is at a fair price for the quality proposed. Good choice of wines as well.

In 15 years I have never had a disappointment - au contraire, I've always been delighted. My american husband has two favorite restaurants in Europe, one in Brussels and Schloss Monaise is the other one.The food quality is high and very consistent, a sort of belgian/french cuisine with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and some variations on old german favorites like sauerkraut, or (a favourite) the german Griessknoedel.Staff is friendly, consistent, effective, unobstrusive. Trust me on this one, they have always been - and I'm eating there at least once a month. That I'm a regular only means one thing which an occasional guest may not experience: they know not to bring me a meat amuse bouche because I don't eat meat - and they know my taste in wine precisely and will always find me a new Bourgogne or a Bordeaux for the husband, both within taste and price preferences. They are famed for the wine cellar, too. What else? I am finding the food and drinks very appropriately priced. The building is beautiful. The summer terrace is a treat.I never bothered to check their "online reputation" until last night when I took a friend to the restaurant, and when we left she told the staff that she was so sorry that she had never checked it out earlier - because the online reviews were so mixed, and that she'd certainly be back.

Opposite the cathedral of Trier in the courtyard of the Palais Walderdorff is our restaurant. Modern stylish decor invites you to pleasurable stay. When fresh, regional, Mediterranean cuisine with quality products, we pamper you at the highest level. Qual
In the pedestrian zone close to the Hauptmarkt (main square) and the Dom you'll find this well known restaurant inside a nice old building (also terrace in summer).Friendly team welcoming you for lunch.Decoration is nice and clean. The tables have white linnen tablecloth&napkins even for lunch. Lunch menu is a good deal: you get a starter (soup or salad) and a main dish (meat or fish or vegetarian) and also a small glass (0.1) of wine for a price of 23.50 Euros pp.Complimentary bread (Baguette and Sauerteigbrot) served with seasoned butter (olives) was a nice touch.Service was friendly. Nice restaurant to chill and enjoy a good meal.Reservations need to be made in advance to be sure to have a table (especially for dinner). We'll be back :) Gerne wieder :)Hello! We are very glad that you have taken the time to write us this detailed feedback. Thank you very much for your kind words about our Restaurant - we are honored to hear that you enjoyed your stay and liked our menu. We're looking forward to your next visit! Kind regardsYour Schlemmereule Trier
Where to eat Mediterranean food in Konz: The Best Restaurants and Bars

After sightseeing the centre of Trier, this is an excellent Italian restaurant to finish your day, if you like authentic food. We shared a big Insalata Caprese, that was not the real thing but (fair enough) still a delicious salad. As a main we had Gnocchi al Noci and Pappardelle Pescatora, both fresh and home made. The portions were too big to finish, so we did not try a dessert. The staff was understanding and offered a grappa from the house: great gesture and good digestive. Staff was very attentive and friendly and the bill more than reasonable. We love to come back!

we went here for the first time and were positively surprised. we did not have a reserved table, but they find us a nice table. The service was excellent and very professional.we had the Cordon bleu, which was both very good and a big portion. I can only recommend this place and we will surely go back to test more of their food.
