Dear guests, We welcome you to the restaurant HOI AN QT - Fine Sushi & Indochine Kitchen. There are freshly prepared sushi delicacies in front of your eyes and a selection of salads, soups and main dishes from the countries of the former Indochina. We are
The first few times we ate here the food was just amazing. But today it was just mediocre. The service was okay, but both our entrees were on the same plate. And even then I was not impressed with the food. I really hope that this is a one off because we really enjoyed eating here before. And we're going to have to go here again to check. Fingers crossed.

For an inexpensive, no-frills Asian meal this place cannot be beat. Don't think of it as a fine dining experience. Think of it as great food, reasonably priced and convenient (close to the central train station).

It's rare to find a restaurant with no starters on the menu - just 6 or 7 main courses with a choice of 2 soups included in the price. We ordered 4 different mains and both soups. The kimchi soup was excellent: a light cabbage-y broth with a chilli kick - not a straight red card offence - just a little tap to remind you that this isn't German cuisine. The soya paste soup was a bit stronger than I would've prefered. The Bulgogi was average and lacked seasoning. The vegetarian rice-noodle dish was also bland and overpriced. The star of the show was the highly recommendable Bibimbap - substantial portions of vegetables ready to be mixed together in a hot stone bowl. The traditional raw egg had unfortunately been replaced by slices of omlette and there was no option to add tofu or beef. All dishes were accompanied by excellent kimchi, good banyan and green beans in chili sauce. What a shame that there's no Korean beer on the menu.

This quaint family-run restaurant is the place to be if you crave for Japanese cuisine. Once you taste the miso soup, you know you are in the right place. We have tried different set -lunch menus and they are all good. Sushi is always fresh. Also nice, friendly staff.

We have been there to enjoy dinner ,the place was easy to find almost near the city center .The decoration is too bad and only a few things remind you Vietnam . It has very tasty soup and spicy delicatessen but the main corse is disappointing,we order duck and it was completely rosty almost burned. Waiters did not speak English well so if you don't speak German you have to communicate by your body I think !

Was looking for sushi so went to the Bell Pepper at the Hyatt. Was informed by a very nice hostess that sushi was no longer served at the Bell Pepper. After dinner there she was kind enough to suggest the Buddha. We went the next evening. The restaurant is very small and the interior Zen like. Don't be fooled by the menu as when it says for example: Buddha Roll x2 it doesn't mean 2 rolls but 2 pcs. I got the salmon (Lachs in German) box and it wan't enough as I was pretty hungry so I also got the small box sushi as well.Over all I would rate the fish excellent but sushi rice mediocre. I ended up eating the nigiri sushi as sashimi as the rice was mealy. If I were in Mainz again craving sushi, I would order a sashimi box with maybe a salmon roll.

I stopped here for lunch by myself one day and enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken and vegetables in green curry. The waiter was so friendly, and was able to chat with me in English and Spanish. I thought the portion was a little small, but very good and well presented.

I decided to visit this restaurant based on the reviews in TripAdvisor. First of all the negative feedback on the staff is not fair. The staff is friendly and helpful and food is served in less than 20 minutes with a smile. However I did not like what I ate. I took a dish with duck and some fried noodles with shrimp. Both dishes were way too salty for my taste and flavor was a bit bland. Maybe I had the wrong expectations but I will not go back, sorry.
