Romantic Rhineland-Palatinate is at the very heart of Riesling production in Germany, home to the largest wine regions in the country. The state is defined by lush vineyards, quaint medieval villages, UNESCO World Heritage sites, picturesque castles, volcanic lakes and wine-rich valleys. Its sylvan forests and rising mountains provide the perfect backdrop to a summer hike, bike ride or wine tasting adventure, while its cities and towns are alive with cultural activities and festivals.

Great resort. Definitely different feel during winter time versus summer. We enjoyed our stay visiting other local Christmas markets. We would go back espeically at the beginning of summer. Pool was a little chilli but still refreshing.

Oberweis, located in picturesque Eifel in the Prüm valley, is the perfect area for a holiday, with its abundance of forests and tranquility - which is not to say that it is lacking in fun and activities. Our camping site boasts a modern outdoor pool, sports field, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, playground and adjoining cycle and walking paths. Experience cosy hospitality and social get-togethers in our dining area with small pub, "Köhler-Stuben" restaurant, a hop garden and a terrace.
This one of the best campsites we have ever been too, clean, hospitable very very nice staff, we were English but they commutated on our language for us, swimming pool amazing heated clean, The restaurant on site is superb, in our opinion the food was exceptional. We would be going there again as soon as we can

Campingplatz Pfrimmtal is a campsite at the countryside of the Palatinate Forest. We offer pitches for your tent, caravan or camper and we rent mobile homes and appartements. Enjoy nature by hiking or biking through the forest or rest at "Hetsch´s Vinothek" and try Palatinate wines & culinary specialties there.

nice camping place. Clean and everything is working like it should. Walking distance to supermarket and you can also walk to village. This is in riverside between mountains so views are really nice. This is really tight if you come with long caravan like us (caravan+car 14 meters)

We were looking for a quiet, inexpensive weekend away while having access to a Vinyard Tour. (through the Zeltinger Hof VW Bulli Tour). This campground is inexpensive, quiet, modest and fit the bill. We found the campground employees friendly and helpful. Best of all: the walk along the river in the evening is lovely. The campground is right beside the imposing Prüm family houses! (They've been making wine since 1911.) The view of the renowned steep vinyards across the Mosel was fantastic as the sun set. A quick drive south to see Bernkastel's interesting Altstadt is totally worth it. I suppose you could camp on the other side of the river and pay more but...why would you?

This was our first tent camping stop after leaving Dunkirk Ferryout of season in Oct. Loads of space. Female receptionist English speaking. They only accept cash. Large pitches. Very clean men's / ladies toilet/shower blocks. 50 cent for a shower. There is a change machine accepting 1 and 2 euros. 50 cent lasts about 4 minutes which is also nice and hot. Two minutes to the gate along the cycle/walk path. We had a lovely 20-minute walk along the Rhine admiring the huge transportation boats, also the WW11 Ludendorff Bridge Museum. Boat trips to the other side of Rhine, not sure of cost. Restaurants along the front. Take a side street that takes you up into the cobbled town with a variety of shops and a gorgeous patisserie. I think there was a pizza restaurant on site but it wasn't open while we were there. There are also quirky onsite caravans which residents live in. Restaurant on-site behind shower/toilet block, again wasn't open while we were there as we were in the last two weeks of them closing for season.

Lovely camping site, spacious with places in a long valley. No need for reservations, there is plenty of room. Good restaurant with friendly owners. Value for money. Quiet, sereen, away from noisy full camping sites along the Rhine. Still close to the river and the beautiful surroundings. Simple but good and clean facilities with free warm water.

Stopped here for four nights in my motorhome. Quite pricey for this time of the year at 108.80 euro for one person, no pets or children but no doubt due to the great, convenient location. Staff are English speaking, friendly and helpful. The site is well maintained, facilities are good and the on site restaurant is reasonably priced, food is good. There is a small boat just at the end of the site that you can take across the river into Koblenz for 1 euro 20 cents, with the bike if you prefer. Otherwise, it is approx a 25 min walk into town which is just lovely. Mix of lovely buildings, history, lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. You can take the cable car up to the impressive fort, enjoying the amazing views of where the two rivers, Rhein and Mosel meet for 11 euro (just the car) or 14.60 euro if you fancy visiting the fort too. Well worth the trip. Watch out for the naughty boy of Koblenz who likes to ‘spit’ at visitors ! (Not in a bad way, just some interesting history and quite amusing!) There is a Netto supermarket 5 mins walk from the site. Only down side is the closeness of vehicles to each other, less than a metre at both sides most of the time I was there. Blinds up and out most of the day so dint bother me too much but worth a mention. Loved the sound of the church bells too. Would return.

The pitches at Viktoria Station are all grassed. The weather was pretty wet when we travelled but the ground seemed to drain away fairly well. The site it located along the River Ahr and there are riverside pitches. On the opposite bank is a road, which during the day and early evening can be quite noise - especially near to the tunnel. The road is used by many people who have visited the Nurburgring - so the cars are often slightly louder than normal, either due to modifications or because they are exotic supercars - our party saw a lamborghini countach whilst we were there, along with many Porsches, Mustangs, Corvettes and a couple of Ferraris. There is a small park or kids. The wash-blocks were always spotless, the showers work well, but they take tokens at €1 for 7 blasts of water. I managed a complete shower and wet shave by lathering and shaving between water blasts on just 2 go's - so 7 is plenty. The site people were extremely friendly and helpful. They can order fresh bread for the following day and we paid €9 per person for a breakfast - it was lovely and the food just kept coming (croissants, bread, yoghurt, cheeses, meats, scrambled egg with ham and bacon, tea, coffee, milk chocolate, cereals and so on). The service at breakfast was superb. It is well worth trying even just once.
