If you want to try some traditional Latgalian food, this is the perfect place to come. The place is quite old, and require some reconstruction, but probably this is one of the reasons of the superb authenticity. Small teams, family or bigger groups (up to 30) can be served here, even there will be some place for dancing, trying the Latgalian dance.
Ask the staff for some traditional food (soups and meat) and listen the authentic music.
Staff was really friendly and nice, prices are ok.
No WIFI.

Been there with my husband from abroad (the chef) and my family, thought it could be a good dinner but not. Very good servers, polite, but the food just terrible is like a nightmare! Chicken was seemed to be so old and everything deep fried on the plate fool of oil! Couldn't eat the ribs, smells strange and the steak asked to cook it medium been cooked well well well very well done! like my husband said: that's the restaurant when they try to cook different cuisines but the restaurant does not have an identity! They have to focus on one and get it right first! Disaster!

We were so excited to visit the newly build concert hall Gors in Rezekne, and decided to have a small lunch in the restaurant Gords which is located on the first floor overlooking beautiful garden, but...
We traveled with our little daughter and at the first moment coming into the restaurant we did not feel very welcome. We had to wait for ~15min when at last waitress came to serve us and then she said we had to wait for 30min (!!!) to have salad, because as she explained the restaurant had one table occupied and they had to serve them first. I have no clue what do they do when there is concert going on and everything is full...
So we just had coffee and an ice cream and went to look for a place to have a lunch with a child. The ice cream though was very good :)

Much better than you could think from the road side menu display or TripAdvisor. Cozy-looking Terrace and fancy looking interior. Service was good but you could tell it depended a lot about the waiter (the red head was really attentive but ended up going home before we were able to tip her).
Food was great (we had lamb cutlets and salmon), so was wine.
Delicious dessert. Money-wise affordable definitely. Worth the visit. :)

Прекрасное, уютное, вкусное и чистое кафе. На берегу пруда, с собственной рыбкой. Приятно посидеть и внутри и на улице. Это единственное место от границы до Риги где можно полноценно поесть.
Берите половину порции. Они -огромные.
