Reviews on Fast Food food in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. On the banks of the Volga River, Kazan sits austerely, its cityscape a visual confection of architecture that somehow manages to be both playful and severe. No matter your spiritual inclination, you simply must visit the Temple of All Religions, a Technicolor cultural center built by artist Ildar Khanov. Though still a work in progress, the "temple" is a feast for the eyes—and the spirit.

You don't go here for the atmosphere. It's very small and you have to wait and pounce on a table at busy times. However, that doesn't really matter. You're coming for the cheap, tasty, fairly generously portioned food. The menu is small but what they have is good and pretty much just what you'd expect from a giros place.

This is a Kazan institution, the colourful Dom Chaya, a Tatar tea house where we had pies and salad and really enjoyed the Gubaida pie for dessert, containing cooked rice, nuts and raisins. We chose the waitress service part rather than the self-service, but it was still incredibly good value.

We visited Chak-Chak twice for lunch whilst staying in Kazan. It is a clean and cheery cafeteria operation. One grabs a tray, and makes ones way along the counters, selecting items as one goes. There are some english translations on the labels. The food is best described as 'comfort home cooking'. It is not fancy or presented with any flair. Your hot meal wil be heated in the microwave. But the serves are generous and the taste is satisfying. We enjoyed the soups (cream of mushroom and a sour beef soup), and one of the hot dishes on offer, labelled 'Chicken curry', tasted remarkably like Indonesian opar ayam! The sweets also are good, if you can stuff anthing else in after main meal. The price for all this food is vary reasonable.

I came by accident. I was looking for the Karl Marx Bar: what open-minded American wouldn't want to try that? Needless to say, it has gone out of business. I asked the nearby Marriott Hotel for help, and they suggested this totally cool place, MORE BAR (which makes a pun on the Russian word for sea or ocean). Four young guys were running it when I came in and said I wasn't looking for a usual international cocktail, and, boy, did they understand! I'm elderly and have had lots of drinks, but these cocktails (I ended up having three!) were amazing, all completely different, original, and superb. In one case, he rubbed an orange peel around the small jug it was served in "for aroma.". This place is magic and good to know about in Kazan, where some of the best food is halal, with no wine or beer allowed.Hey there! Thank you so much for this review â we're glad to know that we were able to surprise an internatonal guest. We are working hard to put a cocktail culture in small russian cities on a new level. Awesome that you cheked out our menu, hope to see you in Kazan once again!

As a tourist without Russian spoken, It is not really easy to find a rest with local food. When walking along the famous walking street, I found lots of people went to this Rest. Then I decided to follow them. It was just like buffet, quite easy for me to see what I wanted to try. Lots of choices, meatballs meat cake salads soups kinds of local food (I do not the name). Finally I got salad x 1, meat cake X1, panned potatoes X1, local food (ban?) X1, yogurt x1, cheesecake x1, hot lemon tea X1, you can't believe how much I had paid for them, only 138rub! Less than 2 euro! And the food was somehow delicious. For sure, the surrounding was a bit crowded and noisy, and long queue when eating time. But you can't ask more with such cheap price and reasonable quality local food. I do recommend it!

Wok & Go is a historic place in Kazan downtown. Located in 19th century mansion the place serves Asian noodles fast and with moderate price level. Top 10 TripAdvisor eating places for many years. Enjoy!
During a short stay in Kazan, I ended up having lunch here two days in a row cause I really liked the food and the staff. Simple but good menu, very reasonable prices and last but not least very friendly staff. If you are very hungry you might need a couple of dishes but the food is very inexpensive so try out a few different things on the menu. Hi! Many thanks for the warm words. We are very happy to see guests from foreign countries in our venues. Hope you liked the city as well. Please come back and enjoy your time in Tatarstan-)

English speaking personal, a big plus point in Kazan! Tasty food for less money in a relaxed place, it is not a typical Mc Donaldâs feeling. Much better and tastier, try it!!!
