If you are looking for a place to chill out, have a few beers, eat pizza (they have large menu on "real" main courses and other food too) and maybe hear some live music, go to Kivach! Most of the staff members speak english and can give tips, if you are looking for clubs or other places with live music. Really nice staff, made us feel welcomed! Nice (even cheap) price level compared to Finland for example.

This is a place where you go to drink beer. They have tried to give it a German image, waitresses in Bavarian dresses etc. Funny, because they sell little german beer. But their Russian and Belgian alternatives are good enough.

The Boulevard restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel with a breathtaking view of the Lake Onega embankment. Its sophisticated menu features European and Russian cuisine with a local twist, and a wine list selected with an emphasis on the rest
Overall, I'd say this is probably the best restaurant in Petrozavodsk.. No more, no less. The 11th floor I mean. One of the most expensive ones, definitely, but still.. The food, the interior, all the table stuff, and - the magnificent view over the lake.

Everything you expect from a top notch German beer hall - good food, good service, good beer and good atmosphere. My wife wanted to use the wifi but you need a local phone code to log on. The waitress came to our table and connected my wife's phone using the waitress's own personal phone code. That is service! They order a cab on the house if you have been enjoying the beer a lot.

Frigate Restaurant Hotel guests will especially appreciate the cuisine of the 1st fish restaurant in Karelia, located on the 1st floor of the hotel. Our professional team is glad to pamper you with a diversity of the dishes made from the fresh-caught fish
Place is located on the lake shore close to ferry terminal and offers nice views to the water. Very nice interior but irritating waiters. Food very average in taste and preparation but to be honest seems to be fresh. I think that it is one of the bests in the city anyway.

Well prepared food: simple but tasty. Home made feeling. Soups, fish, meat, Russian touch. Pancakes with filling for example are so much better than in a more expensive Parizhanka cafe. Very good prices. Pleasant service though sometime a bit slow.Great location in the middle of the main street og the town - Lenin prospect. Popular place with young people. We recommend!
