"Fifties" is a 1950's style American diner located just around the corner from San Diego railway station in Lorca.Corner entrance: Step through a full length glass door & enter a "step back in time" atmosphere. The interior is clean & nicely decorated in pink, mint green & fawn with a chequered dado border running around the whole diner.Large bar with stainless steel counter & corrugated frontage runs along one side, whilst tables are laid out in rows along the opposite side of the diner. Seats upholstered in mint green & cream replicate "Cadillac" style bench seats.Stools with silver "bottle tops" are situated in front of the bar. Flat screen TV's play classic black & white films above the bar (no volume), whilst popular "juke box" period music is played.Walls decorated in period memorabilia eg: Vinyl records, electric guitar, "Coca Cola" fluorescent tube lights, signs & posters, etc.Quirkiness of the place runs through to the toilets which are clean, tidy & fresh smelling. No mistaking the "ladies" & "gents" -both doors identified with large posters.Staff: Dressed in period clothing are pleasant, polite, helpful & efficient.Disabled/wheelchair friendly. Ramp at the entrance door & same level throughout the diner, including toilet access.Menu's written in Spanish. Some English spoken.Reasonable selection of: Starters, hamburgers, some specialities, hot dogs, chips (French fries), salads, sandwiches, desserts, milkshakes, alcohol, soft drinks & coffee. This is a fast food diner with atmosphere. I have visited on a couple of occasions. An enjoyable experience. Give it a try.

Restaurante, hamburgueseria Gourmet. Especializada en platos con toque tex Mex. Nachos, Quesadillas, Costillares.
100% recomendable.

An American-style diner located under the "big top" tents on the second storey of Parque Almenara. There is a podium at the entrance door. Instructions in Spanish & English requesting customers to wait to be seated. Customers have a choice of eating inside or outside (under the "big top"). A waiter/waitress will show you to your seat. Menu in Spanish & English.Premises clean & tidy. Interior of bare brickwork, wooden panelling & clad pillars. Walls display photos, prints, posters & other "Hollywood" paraphernalia such as clapper boards. Good choice of starters. Main meals include: Various beefburgers, ribs, pastas, salads etc. Various desserts. Pepsi Cola with free refills, (as many as one can drink). Uniformed staff are pleasant, polite & efficient. Spanish spoken but also a little English.Toilets small but clean. Occasionally there are "2 for 1" deals which makes for an economical meal.I have used this establishment many times & not been disappointed. However on occasion main meals arrive prior to the starter being finished. Invariably this results in the food cooling. Tip: If possible order separately, e.g. starter - finish it, then main meal. In any case desserts are generally ordered seperately.Recommended.
