The food and service get high ratings but there were six flies on the window adjacent to my table. They made sorties constantly toward my pulled pork sandwich. I can't blame them, it was delicious, but couldn't someone undertake some pest control? The restaurant also holds pool tournaments, which leads me to believe there is an active bar scene some evenings at least.

This is always a cozy place for lunch or supper. The food is good, large servings, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The log walls give it a cozy feel which makes for a nice experience, especially on a cold winter day.. What more could you want?

My husband had the chicken fried steak & some of the best homemade mashed potatoes. I had the taco salad with green Chile. All were good. We took home a couple of pieces of strawberry rhubarb pie that were excellent!

I ordered the Green Chili, wow it was the best I have had in Colorado. The red is awfully good too. They have breakfast specials and lunch specials. Large portions, wonderful service, great value.

New owners as of May 2012. Great food and bar scene, not your typical remote mountain fare!
We ate here yesterday while on a day trip from Loveland. When I say "typical small town service" I don't mean any thing particularly good or bad, only relaxed and casual, not pretentious; no hurrying going on here. You could tell our server has worked here for many years.
I had a tuna melt special, and thought it was really very good. Good filing, bread nicely toasted and buttery. The French fries were excellent, hot and nicely seasoned. I had a small bowl of their green Chile, just to try it, and thought it was an "8".
Wife had a simple burger, which was served on a short hoagie roll. She ate it with her knife and fork because she didn't want all that bread, but she said it was good.
I thought other menu items looked interesting and I an willing to bet that their burritos with the green Chile are good.

We like to go here for a sandwich and beer. The chicken salad is my favorite. And the coleslaw is the best. Limited menu and winter hours. Comfortable atmosphere and very friendly owners.Thank you! Since your review we have increased our hours and days we are open. Please stop by and grab a menu with our updates hours when you are in the neighborhood.

Have been coming here over the past several years with family and friends and was amazed that it was listed in TripAdvisor yet! Altho it's part of the Golf Club, the place has seen its ups and downs over the past 10 years with ownership changes and economic woes. The past 2.5 years has seen incredible improvements to the community with new mgmt. and renewed interests. Main clubhouse has had major renovations and a new chef at the helm (Chef Donna who comes from Colorado Culinary Teaching School!) creating menu items never b4 seen and receiving rave reviews! Definitely not your basic stop in for hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwich fare after a game of golf altho you can still get it if you wish! RERVATIONS A MUST!!!
