Lovely place to go for a sandwich and a cup of tea. We have always been asked if our little girl would like her sandwich made with one or two slices of bread and nothing seems too much trouble. The play room is great!

Enjoyed a private hire of the tea barge for a friendâs Hen Do. Perfect venue, lots of fun, friendly and fun proprietors and a great afternoon tea. Ample sandwiches with a variety of fillings, great cake and amazing scones - the lightest I have ever tasted!

This is the place to go if you want a good Cafe breakfast on the posher side! Meaning your breakfast isn't cheap rubbery sausages dripping in oil.For this you do pay a little bit more for the quality of the food, which is also cooked nicely. I especially enjoy the herby potatoes that come with the breakfasts. The only downside is that it is so popular there is usually a wait time for a table...I think it is sort of a tourist destination in the area, there are lots of students and visitors to the UK that visit. We found that after us some other people that were waiting for a seat were having to for ages because tables were filled with some tourists who had finished breakfast and drinks but were sat chatting! I suppose this is just an English etiquette thing to not overstay when other people are waiting. I can't fault the food or drinks at all, and the service is always friendly.

I found Pau Brazil while looking for another place and decided to visit. I liked it. It can be small and the menu is restricted, but it is authentic and it has character and a good atmosphere. The attention was just right, they made recommendations and service was timely.I went for feijolada and my partner had breaded chicken and Brazilian beer. Both dishes were authentic as you would taste them in Brazil. There is a shop in the ground floor where Brazilian products, such as charcutterie, condiments, bread, etc are on sale.Good option for tasting something different and authentic.
