Very good accomodations, huge rooms
Reviewed By Nata BThe hotel is situated in the city center. There is everything a traveller would need to be nearby: restaurants, stores, banks; the train station is ~10-15 min walk. The hotel occupies third and fourth floors of a building. Not a good thing if you are a girl and have a huge suitcase. Friends helped me take it upstairs. When we were moving out, the administrator was kind enough and helped me bring the suitcase down. Rooms are huge and clean. The furniture (two beds, bedside tables, a dining table, chairs, small refregerator, a TV...) is new and nice looking. The bathroom is big and clean. There was a big balcony in out room, with a view of the main sity street and mountains (further away). The street was too loud at nights sometimes, but this is kinda expectable, if you live in the center. We were at a tour, so our tourist company was taking care of booking, but from what I understood, there are no breakfasts in the hotel. However, on the 3rd floor of a building, there is a La Pasta pizzeria. Probably the company (or the hotel) ordered breakfasts for us there. Breakfasts were huge and tasty. After spending a day in the mountains we had a dinner in this restaurant too. I had pasta, my friends had pizza and deserts - everything was good. Prices are average, not much different from other places. Now, few not very good things about the hotel. The very first day we moved in we asked to get a battery for the clock on the wall, as it wad dead. We stayed there for4 nights - the issue was never fixed. Also, our rooms (there were 16 people, we occupied ~10 rooms) were not cleaned and towels were not replaced over all this time. Not even after this was specifically requested at the reception. After this was addressed again, the administrator apologized and explained that the one day the cleaning lady did not show up (got sick or something), the other day there were too many guests moving in and the staff did not have enough time to clean all the rooms... Giving that there are not more that 30 rooms at the hotel and ~1/3 of them were occiped by our group, this explanation was not good enough. Well, I really hope that this was an exception and this does not happen regularly. One more thing is that when one day our group went back from a day long hiking and, obviously, everyone went straight into the shower, there was not enough hot water. The administrator said "oh, this happens from time to time when many people use the shower at once. Just wait 10-15 minutes". After all, the place is good. I would stay there again.

The hostel is located on the banks of the Tisza River in the center of Rakhiv.

The hostel is a 5-minute walk from the train/bus station and only a minute or two more to the main part of town. I had a four-person dorm and had it to myself for the four nights I was there. The beauty of off-season travel, I suppose. Plenty of toilets and showers (separate from each other), a super large kitchen, warm interior and room, with an effective heating element. Super comfy mattress and pillow, with crisp white sheets. The hostel is cleaned thoroughly and daily. The restaurant across the parking lot is not only convenient, it is quite tasty with good prices. Staff were a bit impatient with my limited Ukrainian but each meal served did not disappoint. They serve the best banosh ever. Try it! Staff at the hostel didn't speak English but we managed through translation apps and smiles. The staff were kind and helpful, despite communication issues. No common area at the hostel, just a large kitchen. No smoking inside the hostel. :-)

Embrace all the beauty of pure nature, fresh air, calmness and freedom. Enjoy your breakfast on your own terrace of the authentic wooden house with the perfect view of a soft horizont line created by the green forest and a spotless blue sky. Morning light fog covering the sweet little houses at the bottom of the mountains will add a snug and cosy atmosphere to the beginning of your day. Share with your loved one a hot cup of tea made with the fresh Carpathian flowers and herbs. Take a trip to the top of the mountain with the astonishing views you will never forget (Stepan Dumen made our trip absolutely perfect 067 1021 788). A friendly staff will do everything for you to ensure you are having the best holiday in your life. Excellent place to escape and to recharge. We will be back soon ❤️

Reviewed By ariejan2015Hotel en restaurant zijn gescheiden van elkaar. Je moet buitenom om te gaan ontbijten. Ook ontbijt moet je dan weer apart afrekenen. Ontbijt is super slecht. Kleine kamer, maar wel degelijk. Geen stopcontacten om je iphone op te laden oid. Geen wifi-verbinding. Alleen bij de receptie. Warme maaltijd was oké. Ik denk dat je voor het zelfde geld een beter hotel kan vinden in Rakhiv.
