Pushkar (Hindi: पुष्कर) is a town in the Ajmer district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is situated about 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of Ajmer and about 150 kilometres (93 mi) southwest of Jaipur. It is a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Sikhs. Pushkar has many temples. Most of the temples and ghats in Pushkar are from the 18th century and later, because many temples were destroyed during Muslim conquests in the area. Subsequently, the destroyed temples were rebuilt. The most famous among Pushkar temples is the red spired Brahma Temple built during the 14th century CE. . It is considered a sacred city by the Hindus particularly in Shaktism, and meat and eggs consumption are forbidden in the city. Pushkar is located on the shore of Pushkar Lake, which has many ghats where pilgrims bathe. Pushkar is also significant for its Gurdwaras for Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh. One of the bathing ghats is called Gobind ghat built by the Marathas in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh.

Visited Mango Tree on our first night in Pushkar as other restaurants were already closed. It's very chilled out and it has a decent menu.The regular thali (veg) was very nice with a good selection included in it!Would recommend for the Thali.

Very good place to have a dinner in Udaipur , great selection, good prices, beautiful views . The smell coming from the lake was too much at a times but that could be anywhere in Udaipur ( or India)

Food is just the best in town, made with CLEAN filtered water, cooked with love. Owner and staff will become your friends quickly. Best wood fire pizza in town according to many people, try the home made Ravioli too or the BEST Israeli food you ever had (Israeli Thali). Chocolate pie is incredible and so popular with europeens. Big tables to meet other travellers or eat with your group of friends. We get addicted to this place really. Other great meal: sandwiches made with pita bread, good fruit salad -curd, muslix, home made bread -toasted or not, best cream soup in Rajasthan, all kinds of good pastas, etc.They also rent beautiful rooms. Ask them to visit !

Very nice restaurant with a nice view on the rooftop.The pizzas are tasty and the price for food is really cheap.You can look the menu in my photo gallery.There is also israeli, indien and chinese food.

First night we stayed in another hostel in pushkar, and when we found out about nirvana rooftop restaurant we fell in love. Ate there almost all of our meals during our time in pushkar. Delicious meals, great vibes and music, amazingly friendly stuff .

I dined in at this lovely place for Italian delights and had a lovely experience.Service guys are so humble and kind. We tried Pastas, Pizzas and Pan Cakes and all were just excellent - hot and served fresh.Wood fired oven Pizza was the crown of all. Highly recommended.
