Things to do in Chittaurgarh
Vsited this place twice for dinner..its slightly away from city center i,e Collectorate and is on the road leading towards Neemach/indore..on the outskirts..Parking is good with a big compound..Hotel is clean / hygenic n maintained.Food is decent n one may like for the first time definately.Prices slightly on the higher side .But there are mot other good options in chittor.so my vote goes to this if you are in the city of Rana Uday Singh and Pratap..
This bright roadside motel cum restaurant is located just next to Gangrar Toll Gate almost midway between Bhilwara and Chittaurgarh. It comes left side of NH-79 highway when one comes from Chittaurgarh towards Bhilwara. The USPs are:1.0> Ample parking space2.0> A bright ambience (refer photographs)3.0> Delicious veg food at reasonable cost4.0> Courteous behavior of the staff5.0> Reasonably clean toilets6.0> Convenient location7.0> They are open till 1 am late at night.Of course like any other roadside eating outlets they accept only cash. No ATMs are nearby. Nearest town is Chittaurgarh. They do have rooms as well, however did not check the same. For tourists embarking on long-hauls towards Udaipur / Nimbahera, this is a nice stop-over after crossing Bhilwara.

A nice outdoor setting to the restaurant.Service was quite good, without being overly efficient. Our orders were tabled reasonably quickly. The food and drinks menu/list quite adequate.Pleasant setting, particularly on a warm and sunny afternoon. At the time of our visit it seemed that this restaurant was more frequented by tourists than locals.

South Point Restaurant, located above Dominos attracted us for their South India delicacy. Located on 1st floor, the ambiance is glamorous with noticeable decor like colorful clocks, fancy wall arts. We had Masala Dosa and the overall taste was fantacizing. Pricing isn't much too. Service was decent too.

Jal Mahal- A palace surrounded by water to maintain temperature and humidity inside the palace. Rani Padmini used to spend her summers. Here only Allaudin is said to have been shown the reflection of Rani Padminiâs dasi as Rani when he visited the fort and later the war begun...which resulted in Jauhar.

After a stupendous tour of the Chittor Fort, hunger pangs were thoroughly satisfied with the sumptuous lunch at Gangour restaurant.WIth the options available, went for Unlimited Thali and was surprised to say the least with the quality of food and taste. A must try for anybody visiting the city and fort and if going for any other option besides Thaili, make sure Churma is ordered without fail for it was mind blowing.
