The place is a small palace and has an old world charm. If u want peace and quiet, this isthe place to be. The food is superb. Staff, very attentive. The ambience is very nice. There are several locations one can walk nearby. The Satdhara stupas are just about 2.5 kms away.

MPT Gateway Retreat of MPT Hotels & Resorts in the World Heritage Site, Sanchi, offers best in hospitality services. Facilities include gym and conference hall, which makes it a much sought after MICE destination in the proximity of Bhopal. The spacious layout and best quality food makes it the first choice for events like weddings and corporate events.
Stayed at Sanchi Retreat for one night in a standard room(Around 3K per night). Honestly, I do not normally stay in MP tourism hotel because of a past bad experience but this hotel was strongly recommend by a local friend and hence I agreed. The hotel has Gym, Pool, Steam Sauna, and Jacuzzi and it is located close to Sanchi Stupa. Think pool was closed during our stay for cleaning but others amenities were available. Food was great and room service was available & relatively cheap. Think tea was around Rs 30 and beer was around 400 (Just to give an idea of cost) I am an early riser. When I woke up today morning, wanted a cup of tea and hence asked someone on reception about it. Got my tea at around 5:00 AM - not sure what other things were available from the menu but tea was available & very well made :) All in all, this stay gave me the confidence and I will restart booking MP tourisms hotel for some of my future travels :)
