We happened to walk by this restaurant on the way to another pizzeria down the road and chose to try it due to its modern and garden outdoor setting. The staff was extremely attentive and eager to provide a welcome and pleasant experience. Although, I had my reservations since I am not the sports bar type I would have missed a great meal by skipping this restaurant. The pizza was done to perfection. I ordered the Rivera, which came with regional Ragusa prosciutto that was fantastic. I also had the Zuppa di Cozze, which tasted fresh and savory. We finished our meal with some excellent desserts. This was our first night in the Marina. My wife and I parked around the corner from the restaurant and saw the outdoor seating area. At about 8:30 PM the place was a bit empty. But the customs of the Beach area is to eat Late. Many large Parties arrived at 10 PM, filling the place up so they were very accommodating in that sense. The service was good and attentive even if were were early.The food FRESH, Menu was well rounded with a great inexpensive Sicilian wine list.We were never rushed and enjoyed the evening Ala fresco. Worth a try early though I not sure they can handle a table of two after all those large groups come in.Hi joe, thanks for the positive review.We are delighted that you enjoyed everything. Our first night in Sicily. Stumbled across this place whilst taking in the area. My daughter and I had pasta dishes. Husband had the Angus with rocket & parmesan. All delicious. They adapted the pasta dish to suit our taste. Really nice staff. Busy around 10pm. Would recommend.

It is basically a good pizza place, their specialiy is the arrotolata , a rolled pizza stuffed with various ingredients. The value for what you eat would be fantastic .. Only if that 20% service charge was not included.. Having said that the waiters were really friendly and constantly busy with the service. Well done guys. Only though you don t expect to pay that much service when staff is dresses with shorts and t shirts. Overall though great food and smiley service! Will come back on my next trip to marina!!

This restaurant is a newcomer to Marina DI Ragusa. It is a co-operative between four people,one of whom is the chef. Situated close to the main square , it has outside dining but i found the interior was a far better p!ace to relax and eat. The decor is clean and modern. The menu is excellent .The host is very accomodating. My wife and i only stumbled upon it one evening and found that it was so popular that we were not able to get a seat , which is very unusual. We decided to have a cocktail at the bar and booked a table for the following evening. We had a very enjoyable meal the following evening and booked in again for a few days later. I suggest that a booking would be a better idea.

We've been three times now, in the last four weeks, each time on a Sunday at lunchtime. It is full, not a single tourist except us (this is Winter), just local families who clearly go there a lot. The restaurant stands out into the sand, with the waves turning right in front of you. Just beautiful.The food is all fish. Good quality. Plentiful. Sicilian. Having been in Sicily for two months now, I am increasingly surprised how all restaurants serve more or less the same thing - there must be a big opportunity for someone to do something different! - and this lovely restaurant follows the same lines. But the quality of the food, atmosphere, welcome, and setting make this a particularly nice place to come. There's a good antipasto for one, or two, with a whole bunch of different fishy things to try on it. Good value. And not all fried, which is good. The tuna with melting onions was amazing, but only available I think as part of the antipasto (I could eat a whole plate of it). The fish ravioli in a rich creamy sauce (with marsala in it perhaps, not sure?) was gorgeous. The seafood risotto makes you smile as it's delivered. Wine is a reasonable price. And the people watching brilliant for visitors. As an almost vegetarian, I would have loved a few more vegetable based dishes, but that is the same across Sicily in Winter. We're going back again before we leave

The food is very good, marvellous pizzas to take away as well, but the restaurant must seat nearly 300 people and lacks atmosphere as a result. Must be great when full though. Very reasonable prices.

We happened upon this place by accident, we were looking for an early dinner as we had to get to the airport for our flight home. Every where else was closed or not serving food. So when we saw la grotta beach we decided to give it a go and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious, the arincini were fantastic as was the various kinds of local focaccia and pizza. Very clean. Highly recommended especially if you are in a hurry and want good local authentic food.
