With a rich pre-Colombian history, Ecuador's capital was founded on the ruins of an Incan city but offers everything a modern traveler might need. It remains the least-altered historic center in Latin America and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Quito’s important sites include baroque gems like San Francisco and Santo Domingo monasteries, as well as La Compañía church and college. This huge city sprawls across a breathtaking Andean valley surrounded by volcanic peaks.

Great hospitality, especially from Yale, the receptionist. She was very insightful and very sweet. Very centrical town with quick access to the main plaza and churches. Highly recommend for the Centro Historico zone.

Casa Hotel Las Plazas is located in Quito´s Old Town, just a few steps of Plaza Presidencial, museums, La Ronda, Basilica del Voto Nacional, Iglesia La Compañia church, and turistic points
As a solo traveller this small hotel was perfect for me. It is luxurious and full of authentic character inside and has a family-run atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help you. It is located just off the Plaza Grande in the old town. A refreshing change from staying in large faceless corporate hotels. Highly recommended- when booking suggest you ask for a room away from the road. My room was a little noisy- the locals just love to hoot their horns!!

We stayed here in 3 different rooms. We were part of a birding group but came 1 day early. We stayed in a suite on that day but had to switch to a regular room the next day. When we were done with the birding tour, we stayed one more night in a different suite. The suites were nice; we had a balcony on the 4th floor suite. Both suites have a washing machine, kitchen, microwave and a jacuzzi bathtub. I’d recommend staying in a suite if available because the regular room is quite small. Strangely, they didn’t provide facial tissues or towels so we had to buy them from a supermarket nearby (the Supermaxi market on ave 12 de Octubre is 20’ away on foot). Breakfast was ok with fruits, eggs and bread with ham but the view overlooking the valley was wonderful. There was no taxi in front of the hotel. To use the yellow taxi, go to Hotel Quito just 3 blocks away. Several waiting taxis are usually there. We spent only $3 taxi fare to go to Quito Old Town Mercado Central. Food at Mercado Central was extremely cheap and excellent so it was worth going there. For bakery, Fondant cafe panaderia on Ave 12 de Octubre is 8’ away on foot. A pretty good hotdog and burger joint (Los Hot Dogs de la González Suárez) was 2 blocks away. On the negative side, the Mirador park next door is full of empty alcohol bottles, garbage and graffiti but the place feels reasonably safe.

Chakana Hotel Boutique, located in a traditional Quito neighborhood of downtown, was a traditional Art Deco house. Today, it is a thematic hotel with rooms inspired by ancestral cultures of the Andes, with details that will connect you with its energy and the spirit of its resistant villages that keep your heart connected with the spirit of nature. Our hotel has the perfect balance between style and tradition.

Searching for a quiet place to sleep is like searching for the holy grail. No holy grail here. It is midnight and the dogs are barking and I cannot sleep. For me the most important component of a place to sleep is a peaceful environment.

Hotel with colonial style, in its walls you will find the history of the city of Quito. Beautiful paintings surround the walls of the hotel, a large library, restaurant and luxury rooms will make you feel that you are in the middle of the world.
Friendly and extremely helpful staff. The hotel is situated in a bustling part of town, yet stays quiet and we were able to sleep well. The staff went out of their way to help us. We had a 1:30 AM departing flight, and they ordered us a late night shuttle. They offered us drinks and we ate take-out in the dining room. We went sight seeing most of the day, but also hung out in the living area while searching the web. We were welcomed and appreciated when we walked in the door. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

One has uncertain expectations of a boutique hotel, but Old Town Quito Suites surpasses all of them. The rooms (which are all unique) are immaculately clean and have everything you might need. The level of service is five star. We were met at the airport by driver who was waiting for us. Owner arranged covid tests for us on a Sunday evening as well as made reservations at amazing restaurant. Everything at hotel was performed graciously.

This renovated mansion is ideally located making it easy to visit both the historic city center and Quito's more modern and trendy areas. Enjoy the romantic atmosphere of Casa Vintage's tastefully decorated bedrooms with all the contemporary amenities sush as flat screen tvs and wifi with unlimited access to internet.
All the compliments that others give about wonderful staff and decent rooms are true. But we booked here for 5 nights and I bet the dogs RIGHT next door bellowed for a total of 20 hours allowing us 20 of sleep in those 5 days . We talked to management and they said there was nothing they could do, that they had already talked to the neighbours. Compliments to Thomas who was very helpful, we did not talk to him about the dogs. Highly do not recommend unless you want the "the dog"challenge.

Tin House Quito offers you the accommodation service giving you the comfort as if you were at home, all at your disposal. In our establishment you have the access to the most touristic places of Quito. We are located five minutes from the Basilica del Voto Nacional and a few minutes walk from the Historic Centre. If you are looking for a lovely, intimate and economic place, we are the best option
Tin House is located in the historical center, just 5 minutes of walk from Basilica of The National Vote. This is a family-run hotel. My room had a great view of the city and Basilica. But the true gem of my stay was the awesome hospitality of the owners. They are the warmest people I've ever met, they treated me like a honored family member providing the best possible service and walking an extra mile when I just dropped a word about some of my plans or needs. Chorita, Katherine, Steven and Daniel take every client as a special guest. Katherine and Steven both speak English while Chorita and Daniel would make every effort to communicate effectively using a translation app. They provide an airport shuttle or can take you around the city at a very competitive price.
