The formerly walled city was one of the last to be built by the Mayans, and its archaeological sites are incredibly well preserved. Take a break from the beach to visit El Castillo, the Temple of the Frescoes, and the Temple of the Descending God. Explore an underground river under a canopy of stalactites in the sacred caverns of LabnaHa Eco Park, or dive into Cenote Dos Ojos to snorkel inside of caves in the middle of a forest.

Restaurant with contemporary mexican cuisine with an atmosphere of integration and respect to the jungle.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary dinner here based on the high TripAdvisor ranking...and it did not disappoint. Coming during the low season, we didn't have to worry about a reservation, and were warmly welcomed in. The tuna appetizer was amazing, and the cocktails (though pricey) were fresh and delicious. While I got the whitefish - which was very good - my wife got the spare rib, which was incredible. Just a great dining experience.Thank you for your comments, we are glad you enjoyed your experience at BAL NAK'.

Contemporary delicious food with local fresh and high quality ingredients, We welcome guests from 16 years on and older
The femme wanted to tryout her minimalist après beach wear, so choosing this love nest was perfect. Pulpo grilled with seaweed salad made a shared plate a perfect mating. The whole fish for me and the gigantic surf and turf for the femme made for a sensational lunch. The wine by the glass was a terrific touch. service was rapid and the personnel fun and professional.Dear Eli,Thank you very much for sharing your comment with us.We love to know you had a fantastic lunch experience here with us enjoying our Chef's Paul Bentley creations .We look forward to host you back soon in our restaurant.Sincerely,Marco

I went two times to Humo this week for diner. The place is very nice, with a great atmosphere. If you can, book in advance to be sure to be inside. However outside is also nice. Food is delicious and drinks are amazing (though I only tried one again and again and again : the "Local" with Mezcal).

Ginger is now a hotel and the restaurant has reopened, serving breakfast and lunch to hotel guests and to the public. The menu is new and features delicious recipes by Javier.
My partner and I have been huge fans of the restaurant for years and as soon as we found out it had reopened as a hotel and restaurant we booked a romantic break. The rooms are very reasonably priced and although the food in the restaurant is fine dining, the prices are not. We received a wonderful warm welcome from Javier and Morgan (the owners and Javier is also the chef) and checked into our room. The rooms are set around a courtyard garden with a pool that is adjacent to the restaurant. The rooms are well equipped with all mod cons including a safe and fridge, TV WIFI etc. The bed was super comfy (we I did not want to leave the next morning!), and each room has a feature wall painted by a local artist that was very cool (as we were the first to check in that day Javier let us see various different rooms so we could see the artwork). After a couple of Ginger mojitos (signature drink of the restaurant) we settled down for dinner in the remodelled restaurant. Service was excellent as always and we had a wonderful dinner. The food was so good that we actually stopped talking when our main courses arrived just so we could focus on eating! Then after a few more glasses of wine and probably one too many cocktails we wandered across the courtyard to our room. The next morning we were met with big smiles and much needed coffee followed by a delicious breakfast, which was a real treat for us because before the addition of the hotel, Ginger was only open for dinner. All in all a wonderful, romantic, foody night of luxury that we will repeat very soon!Thank you! We loved having you at the hotel =)
