Horrible customer service. Restaurant was not busy yet food took over an hour. Door was marginal considering how long we waited. They did a bait and switch when we got the bill and used a ridiculous conversion rate to US dollars basically overcharging us. Would not recommend. All other restaurants we tried there were awesome with great food and service.

We ate at this restaurant three times during our vacation. We were lured in by the Margaritas, and stayed for the food. The owner, Julio agreed to create a Mahi burrito at my friend's request. The fish is fresh and varying, the Margaritas are deliciously potent, and the cook, Faustino is incredibly talented and personable. You can even bring the fish you catch during your stay to the restaurant for preparation! Believe me, you'll enjoy yourself!
Ricardo and everyone at the restaurant were awesome! the food was wonderful, the coconut shrimp are amazing, cheese stuffed jalapeños are a must. Great folks, great food, great service. Thanks to all for wonderful meals. (yes, out of all the restaurants in Puerto Aventuras, this is the one we returned to).

Amazing view, good food, limited options, amazing staff but cockroaches on the floor...Although it is to be expected given the climate.

La Caleta nació de nuestro gusto por la comida de mar mas fresca de la zona, maravillosos platillos de autor creados con autentica pesca del dÃa.
I had been hearing so many delightful reviews of La Caleta. I put this little restaurant on my short list! A friend and I went to lunch recently. We began our meal with Empanadas. Beautiful pastries were placed on our table. The downside, however, was the rock-hard crust. The filling was quite tasty but the exterior was too hard to eat. My friend ordered octopus for her entree. She thought it was quite good. I ordered a beef filet. This is an Argentinian restaurant with an open wood-fire grill - how can you go wrong with Argentinian beef? While the presentation was mouthwateringly gorgeous, the meat was pure gristle. Not one bite was edible. In defense of the beef, though, the flavor was so good, just not swallowable. The Waitstaff was exceptional. I do not intend to return.

Dockside terrace overlooking the boats open from 5pm Monday through Saturday. International, Mexican and Oriental fresh Fish and Seafood, Lobster and King Crab in season. US cuts of Beef, Chicken, Baked Pork Duck, Pigeon in season. Beautiful cocktail bar
The best thing about this place was the staff and the view, but the rest left a little to be desired. We ordered the Mahi Mahi filets and they were easily the smallest filets I have ever had. The mango salsa was okay. My daughters ordered the famous caeser salad which they make at the table for you but it seemed we had a new salad maker. He put way to much dijon mustard and it was not really edible. We didn't complain - my kids wouldn't let me. Another odd thing happened. We had 5 people. My husband and I got a salad to share as an appetizer, he got ribs and I got Mahi Mahi, my daughters got the caeser salad for their meal and my dad got the mahi mahi. For some reason all of our food came out at different times - even my and my dads mahi mahi - same meal diff time. Weird. Anyway, they only gave two of us the sorbet so I was like why even do it if you only give two of five people that. To top it off, it felt very over priced. Considering two people shared one salad, our bill came to $125 before tip. Spendy for Mexico and sorry - not worth it.

Lovely breakfast, lunch, dinner and special event restaurant overlooking the dolphins which are less than 15 feet away. Hippo has a great Taco Bar on our second patio with all the toppings you can imagine. Fresh daily fish and lobster sold by the gram. Ha
Ate here twice. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. Had fish and chips and shrimp and chips. There seemed to be more batter than fish. That was disappointing. Went for breakfast and that was a mistake. Everything was cold (toast, potatoes etc). It was bland. If you donât like the Mexican âbutterâ then avoid the eggs with holindaise. It was horrible but that was our mistake in ordering it. Regardless how we felt about the food the service was outstanding.

The Divot offers a charming and peaceful outdoor setting with views overlooking the Puerto Aventuras Golf Course. Ingredients are fresh and locally sourced when available. Stop by for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner. Ask to try Chef Miguelâs specials!
We had an enjoyable lunch here with some friends. The food was good but not spectacular considering the cost. Our granddaughter's chicken had to be returned as it was served cold. The tuna dish was good but it was all fish with very little vegetables or potatoes. I prefer a meal consisting of less protein and more vegetables.
