Fresh pasta, the best on the island. Tiny little storefront restaurant and bakery that will make dishes to order. Remember to ask for a salad to accompany your meal and you will not be disappointed. Breads are amazing and should you be fortunate enough to order a cake you will be amazed. We have celebrated our daughters birthday the past two years and they have prepared a cake that defies description. A real treat. Only drawback is that it is tiny. Make a reservation if you intend to eat there as they only really have one table available other than counter service or take out. Give yourself a treat.

Coming from Northern NJ / Long Island we hold a pretty high bar to Italian food. The food here was very good and service very good with it being a bit pricey by Mexico standards. We are accustomed to bread coming with Italian pasta dishes and none was offered. The Tiramisu was a bit off (too modified from traditional Italian), missing the correct alcohol and cocoa which while their offering tasted good it just didn't register as Italian Tiramisu, we did have 5 star Italian dining in Playa del Carmen. We would probably come back here but I would probably skip the Tiramisu as it was missing key ingredients if I am splurging on dessert calories :)

We returned to Chardonnay again tonight and enjoyed our favorite dishes which are simply the best we have had anywhere! Please support this local gem. You will not find better lobster anywhere! It is served with a salad and very thin french fries. I usually do not like lobster but I had a few bites of my friend's and was amazed by how good it was! I always have the fettuccine alfredo con pollo. It is not rich and heavy like most are; just delicious! Finally, the margarita is large and very tasty! The prices are very reasonable. Please venture off the beaten path a bit to the corner of Avenida 5 and Calle 7. It is a beautifully decorated restaurant with great service and excellent food!

LA COCAY COZUMEL Mediterranean CuisineCreative food, good wine and warm hospitality in a comfortable setting. Our menu is inspired by the variety and flavors of the cuisines of the Mediterranean and Mexico.
My family of 4 have been coming to La Cocay for years when summer vacationing in Cozumel. Food is always very good especially when served in a quaint house setting with a beautiful patio seating. Service at times can be a little spotty especially of you get one of the older grumpy pants. Don't let that deter you from coming, they do lighten up as the evening progresses.Cocktails there have been always excellent, they make fantastic Cosmos and Sangria. Entrees ordered were Roasted Duck breast (mole sauce and a red wine orange reduction, scalloped potatoes) my favorite, Lasagne Cocay (tomato meat sauce with a trio of cheeses: ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan) and a seared Sliced Skirt Steak grilled and served with baked potato with sour cream and bacon. All the dishes came out hot and done to request and tasted great. The best of comfort food.

Authentic Italian Restaurant in the middle of the mexican caribbean sea. Home made pasta, italian chef and we are famous for lion fish and sea food.Excelent options for meat lovers. A DIP in ITALY... #newespecias #byfrancescodiroma #bestitalianincozumel
Tried New Especias for the first time tonight. What a great find! Food, service and atmosphere were great. Try the Lobster in Cognac Sauce or the Lion Fish. Prices are a bit more than other more typical restaurants, but well worth the difference.

Repeat visit to this lovely little restaurant in a home. Entree, soup and salad. They have the entrees displayed, you pick and they heat up for you. Prices listed by each entree- from 80 pesos to maybe 200 pesos- most around 120. Menu varies- some of our choices: roast chicken, lasagna, trigger fish, pasta with chicken and vegetables, bacon chicken, lobster pasta, eggplant parmigiana, portobello mushrooms stuffed with something. The meat and fish entree came with a delightful small mushroom pasta.Add lemonade or iced tea and dessert if you want to pay a bit extra. The tiramisu is the best, itâs filled with marscapone cheese and so good. The soup was minestrone and the salad is simple with balsamic. Open from 1-5. We will visit here every trip!
