If you are looking to relax in Tulum, stay as far away from Om Tulum as possible. This hotel blasted music until 3AM on our first night and refused to offer us more that a "continental breakfast" in return (probably a $5 value). They continued to play loud music throughout the day, making it impossible to relax on their beach. Their website promises:"Romantic and relaxing""The intimate natural ambiance that you feel as a guest at OM Tulum Beach Hotel will bring forth the restful moments you've longed for...""Experience a Higher Sense of Self...""Our open air wooden deck restaurant and hookah lounge, decorated with red fabric, soft-light lanterns, and soft-music are all complimented by the warm caribbean ocean breeze""Our beach club harem beds, hammock area and individual palapas for shade is here just for your pleasure and relaxation "Everything on their site, in fact, promotes that this is a tranquil place to stay and rest. The opposite was true. Despite the insanity of the first day and night, when they were throwing a full-on party, and despite our complaints, the music continued throughout the day, making it impossible to enjoy a moment's peace. Our protests were met only with shrugs of the shoulder. We booked the hotel two days before arriving, so were already inside their posted cancellation policy. And we recognize that this policy was posted online. However, many other things were posted online (see above) which were absolutely false advertising. We are being charged for an experience that was NOT delivered to us as promised. Furthermore, there was absolutely no attempt to rectify the situation amicably by the management. For some reason, the management thinks everyone in the world wants to listen to loud house/lounge/trip hop while lying on the beach or sitting in the restaurant or, even worse, while trying to sleep. If that's what you want - go for it. If you're looking for peace and quiet, and if you're looking for reasonable management who actually listen to the needs of their guests, stay away!!

An open-air restaurant located on the jungle side of Tulum's beach road. Local sea-to-table ingredients cooked on the grill or wood burning oven. Menu changes daily based on availability of ingredients.Dinner only. Pesos only.
This is not just dinner...this is a place to experience the real Tulum. The natural jungle setting, furnishings, open kitchen, and candles all provide an ambiance that sets the mood for an unforgettable meal. Simple yet utterly creative presentation of flavors and made with the highest quality of local ingredients. The knowledgable staff are committed to their craft and provide excellent service. This is my special go to every time I am visiting Tulum!

At Simple we know and respect each ingredient we use, thatâs why our menu turns out to be original, simple, and unique. In it we gather the taste of the Pacific, preparing grilled and roasted fish, seafood and vegetables; meat and poultry, cooked in their
We had a lovely light meal at Simple. Staff were very helpful. Margaritas are fabulous here. Carnitas tacos and broquettes were amazing. There were issues with internet and we could not pay by card and didnât have cash. We had mentioned this before we were seated as we had issues with few ATMs that day. They were considerate and let us pay the next day. We went over to settle the bill next day abs the manager was gracious about it all. A good experience overall.

Authentic Mexican style taqueria in front Tulum's beautiful beach. Our politics: If you speak Maya or you are a local celebrity, you get a discount of 20%. Our slogan: Sit down, relax and eat some f'ing tacos...! We have food for everybody.
What a cool place! I was with my hippie aunt, mother, and two other aunts and everyone enjoyed this place. My hippie aunt and I probably enjoyed it the most, but the tacos are great, service was good, the beach below was cool, and they are even 420 & pet friendly! I am now a regular! Thank you Taqueria La Eufemia!

We love Ahau. Sitting out on the open deck, looking out on the sand and waves, itâs so beautiful here. :-) Drinks are excellent and not very expensive, unlike some other places on this beach. Lots of great flavors, delicious options, rum, tequila, gin, and mezcal. Food is great too - the chilaquiles are awesome, fish tacos are great, guacamole with salsas is a yummy starter. Beach bars donât get much better than this! We keep coming back. :-)

Caribbean sun, sweeping white sand beach, big coconut trees, and a breathtaking view of the turquoise sea. This is not a description of Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe, it is the location of Ziggy's,Beach Club and Restaurant. Open from 7am-11pm every day.
We did a beach bar crawl on September 2nd, starting at La Euphemia at the south end. Our 4th stop was Ziggyâs for Lunch. We had 3 Coconut Shrimp Dinners (885 Pesos), a Caribe Shrimp Ceviche (275 pesos). Super disappointed now that Ziggyâs no longer offers their fresh fruit Cocktails, like Banana and Strawberry Daiquiris. Had to settle for a Lonah Tiki (250 pesos), a Tropico (250 pesos, and a Modelo Especial (60 pesos). I asked for a glass of water and was brought a Glass Bottle of Water and charged 125 pesos. I wouldnât ask for water at Ziggyâs again, especially since there was no mention Iâd have to buy it. Note to self â next time ASK BEFORE ordering. Our bill total came to 1,845 pesos and with a 15% tip, was 2,121 pesos. I put the lunch on our Credit Card, and it came in at $144.53 CDN for 3 people ($48.18 CDN/pp).Ziggyâs was the only place we went that didnât add a âSuggested Tipâ. Instead, they offered 3 options: 13% (good), 15% (Excellent) or 20% (Outstanding). We left our stuff on one of their Bali Beds, and went in the Ocean for about 30 minutes.I found that Ziggyâs Shrimp Ceviche was amazing, but their Coconut Shrimp overcooked, and the green mashed potato it was served on was cold. I have previously been to Ziggyâs a few years ago, and I was pretty disappointed this trip. Over $48 CDN per person, for a Shrimp Lunch, an Appetizer shared 3 ways, a drink each, and of course, the $8.50 CDN Bottle of Water. Needless to say, I wonât go back . . .

The Mexican Experience is exactly that, an experience! The concept is simple; travelers from all over the world are united around a large table to enjoy a 5-course meal of exquisite Mexican cuisine, accompanied by a night-long open bar!
We were absolutely delighted by this experience. It was such a unique concept as we had never come across such a tour. Itâs kinda like a tour and a dinner combined. Our guide Riaz was the life of the party and gave such interesting information and insight. Really recommendable doing this.
