Great experience to do at least once. Our group had done this before in Adelaide and elected to go again. No regrets. They do engage with their customers by throwing empty food bowls for you to catch but you can opt out. Up to the individuals to partake in the full rice bowl or egg catching. Not sure about the scrambled egg to the open mouth but once again your choice. However ending on a fabulous note the food is delicious and the portions just right. Cost per person depending on your choice of food option. It is BYO wine only. Our food cost was $70pp plus drinks for those drinking beer, we brought our own wine - evening cost equated to $100pp. They do have a lunch option which is cheaper but only opens between 12 noon and 2.30pm.They are found two block back from the Esplanade on Brisbane Road, so are often overlooked.
We used to like the place but every time we go there the woman who owns it have to ask us something uncomfortable. We wonât come back anymore!

Food was great and the portion sizes were huge! We ordered too much food! Very busy place. Appeared to be understaffed. Range of food and beverage was excellent. It is our new 'go to' restaurant for Japanese! We were in Japan last year and this food is the closest to that in Japan!

We enjoyed delicious authentic Japanese food at this restaurant. The menu has several options for the connoisseur to the beginner. The restaurant itself has a good ambiance and they can accommodate a large group if needed, but I recommend you book in advance.I recommend the Salmon/Tuna/King Fish Sashimi which can easily be shared with three people as an entrée.You can now enjoy good Japanese food in the sunshine coast at reasonable price using fresh ingredients and produce. I recommend this restaurant and will go back again.

Ginger Japanese Restaurant
There is a lot of ordinary food on the Sunshine Coast. I've been a business traveller here for a year and mostly I have eaten expensive ordinary food. This place is brilliant. The servings are massive but the food is fresh, nicely prepared and way above the average. The menu is typical japanese, noodles, sushi and meals served with rice and salad. There is a good list of Japanese beer and saki. The place has a nice atmosphere. It's not fine dining or a romantic place for two but it's a fantastic place for a family meal.

Moom Asian Cuisine is a Thai based restaurant with a slightly mixture of beautiful Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese dishes, located on the Ground Floor 123 Mooloolaba Esplanade. Amazing atmosphere, incredible food, what else are you looking for!!!
This restaurant on the Mooloolaba Esplanade has a menu that is mainly Thai, but also includes Vietnamese and Japanese dishes. We went with friends and ordered Thai food - which was delicious if a little sweet for our taste. I thought the portions were a little bit small for the price - especially as we had to order rice separately. BYO is $6 per bottle.

A quick visit with the family to this Sushi train establishment. After all 4 of us extensively eating from the mobile dishes we all agreed this is a great place to eat. Itâs not the kind of place you drink wine and chat all night, itâs more of a quick fix and your off. Anyway itâs a thumbs up from us, great for a quick bite.

Thanks Spice Bar Mooloolaba the good is exceptional with wonderful flavours and tastes. Our waitress was fantastic helping with wine selection and how many courses . Well done Spice Bar
After a busy day we just wanted a quick and easy dinner. Sun Sushi is a new addition to the local dining scene so we arrived with no real expectations. We stayed longer and ate more than we intended. The food is SO good. Apart from the always super fresh sushi and sashimi, there are various noodle and rice dishes.I had a pork ramen bowl that was to die for. The pork was succulent with an amazing flavour and the soup/stock absolutely delicious. This will certainly become a favourite place.
