Very reasonable prices , fast and nice service, certainly not a restaurant, more like a typical Thai eatery somewhere in Bang Kong.

A group of us from work had dinner here recently. I ordered fried rice with vegetables, but there was hardly any vegetables. However, we also had pre-ordered their large snapper (fish, for $49.50) which was alright. The place is unpretentious ie basic, not fancy, food was generally tasty, located not far from the CBD and parking was easy as generally is in Cairns area BUT the place was extremely noisy, peopleâs voices were echoing off the walls, we were like almost shouting across the table to be heard, not sure why. This was the only drawback.

From TUK TUK BY THE SEA We are a Thai Restaurant located on the Esplanade at Trinity Beach with the ocean just a stone's throw away. This is a truly spectacular setting to relax, unwind and enjoy some of our authentic Thai food or even join us for our Sun
Arrived for an early dinner and was warmly greeted by the male wait staff( forgot his name. ) service was exceptional. Entrees from around $10 and mains around $30. Had a mixed entree, fish cake, satay stick, curry puff ect and Madang curry for main. The food was superb and delivered in good time. Great atmosphere looking over the beach. A wonderful dinner and great service. Will return for sure.

I ordered take away. The young girl taking orders was really nice and friendly. The spring rolls were passable but the tom yum seafood was disgusting. Like a sloppy can of tomato soup. Don't know where a previous reviewer talked about fresh local seafood was from. I had 4 small prawns- one was still frozen in the middle. Supermarket rubbish. And no squid i could identify amongst the slushy onions. Could not eat it. And my great dane who eats anything smelt it and ran away. Absolute waste of money.

Had multiple dishes for dinner with friends and all were great. Good flavour and the portion sizes are also fair. Big bonus is you can BYO wine and the corkage is only $2.00. I would definitely recommend!!

We ordered take away while staying in trinity beach. The spring rolls were tasty and massaman curry was also good. We were able to order tofu, even though I didn't see it listed in the take away menu. The restaurant was super clean and people working there (which I assumed are the owners) were friendly.

The last time I had Thai food this good was ten years ago in Thailand. It's nice to find a place that slow cooks Massaman! It's delicious.
Thai Cook For Thai Taste
Quite possible the worst Thai food I've had. We were fans of the old veg out in Thailand and would go regularly. We tried the pad Thai as we figured you can always tell a good Thai restaurant by their pad Thai. We got the chicken and it smelt very fishy, almost like prawn juices had been tipped over it, the flavor was certainly no better and neither of us ate even a third of the dish before giving up. The chicken satay that we ordered was ok, but it was cold. Would not go back there. Thank you for your time on reviewing us,I am saddened to know that our food did not reach your expectations. We do take each review seriously, and we will try our best to improve my food for you. Please give me one more chance to service you.Best Regards,Baan Thai Kitchen
