Based on the TA reviews, restaurant website and various photos, we were quite excited about our forthcoming dinner at Cumin Courtyard - could this be our next great Indian Culinary find in suburban Brisbane? Alas, it was not - while the service was friendly and the food quite good, the restaurant itself has little ambiance with all brown walls, one hanging picture, white ceiling and timber floor.Service was friendly but not very forthcoming or experienced - we had to ask for a wine bucket (the wine was not very cold). Entree's were good - starting with the vegetable chapate (probably the best dish we had) and chicken reshami, both tasty, good size and good value. We moved on to mains being beef nihari - beef was very tender and not fatty but the sauce was a bit bland, but overall quite nice. The cumin chicken, a house creation was a let down, the chicken was only just cooked and the sauce was much too creamy with little or no cumin flavour evident. We also had a vegetarian main of mixed vegetables which were nice too. Rice and naan bread was OK, sweet mango chutney ($2.50 for a very small serve) was tasty but not enough. There is a good vegetarian selection on the menu and a reasonable drinks list - the place is licensed but I couldn't find any reference to licensed or BYO on the website.Pricing is also quite reasonable. If we lived locally, we would probably give it another try, but Indian Restaurant offerings in Brisbane are plentiful and in my opinion, the current TA rating (17 / ####) is extremely generous. This was not that new find we had hoped it may be.Thank you so much for your feedback, I will pass your comments to the Kitchen Team.I would like to invite you to Cumin Courtyard again, my apologies that the Cumin Team did not explain you that the Cumin Chicken is the mildest and creamiest curry on the menu. We explain it on a level 1, on a scale of 1-10 spice level. We look forward to hosting at Cumin again. Thanks and regards Cumin Courtyard Team

Itâs website and owner certainly hype up this as being an amazing Indian ( +/- mexican) experience, and Iâm afraid we found it very, very average. The nann tasted like it was from a packet/supermarket. The butter chicken and lamb korma were very ok. The chicken was cubed too perfectly making me wonder about itâs origin! We expected great stuff and we got a below par performance. Canât understand how some reviewes are 5 star.

Indian Mehfil Brisbane offers authentic, beautifully presented Indian cuisine. The true definition of Mehfil is 'get together' where people converge and have a good time. Since we opened in November 2013, this has become synonymous with the Indian Mehfil.
The restaurant wasnât busy for a Saturday night but we went in anyway. First impressions werenât great, paper clothes on tables etc, however, the service was excellent and the food wasnât bad. Not a massive selection of main course curry but was all spiced to personal preference whisk was good. It is quite expensive but the portions are big so donât order too much food.Overall not a bad Indian but certainly not the best Iâve visited!

We were staying at the Brisbane Hilton, so we took bus 175 to Stones Corner for the great mango butter chicken that we had first tasted six years ago at Indiyum at Caloundra. We arrived at about 2:45 pm, so there was time to order cheese naan, mango chutney, and mango butter chicken before their closing at 3 pm. It was well worth the trip. The atmosphere is informal with outside seating and friendly wait staff.

We love a good Indian but unfortunately we will not be returning here.Meal for 2 and 1 beer at $76 is a tad expensive. We had Bombay chicken and the chicken was the slimy cheap bits. We asked for a doggy bag but had to pick the chicken out. They gave us a paper bag for the leftover naan and it was so greasy that the oil soaked the bag by the time we got home.Such a shame as the service was good.Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We at Indian Mehfil take great pride in serving our customer the best meal every time and in this endeavor we take utmost care that the quality, taste, texture, and flavors are maintained with strict quality checks installed. However, We are sorry to hear the food was not up to your expectations.

Punjab Curry Club at wellington point is an authentic Indian Restaurant. We specialise in both modern indian and authentic indian food. Our food is cooked keeping in mind the English taste. We offer a huge range of vegan dishes and gluten free dishes.
We have been coming here for a few years when visiting the Redlands. We've tried many of the dishes and enjoyed nearly all. The grandkids love the butter chicken. We also like the naans and mango chicken. For something different we tried sour lime chicken at someone else's recommendation and most enjoyed it. Tonight we tried punjabi lamb. This has been my least favourite as for my taste it had too much paste compared to the sauce. The service has always been friendly and efficient. This is a busy place for good reason.
