A homely cafe with a beautiful view of surrounding farm land on our shaded deck. All our goodies are made on premises slices, scones, cakes, pies, sausage rolls. We have a selection of freshly made meals and burgers for you to choose from including gluten
We were at the Gatton University Hospital and had some hours to wait for our dog after a procedureLooked on trip advisor for local shops for breakfast, this cafe is in Grantham and was a short 10 minute drive. Easy to find and plenty of parkingHad a fantastic âBig Breakfastâ. Had all the trimmings with plenty of bacon and toast. Iâm a big eater and was pleased by the size of the meal. Great coffee to accompany the meal. We sat outside on the timber deck. Highly recommended stop, if in your way between Toowoomba and Gatton itâs an easy bypass to find the cafe.Thank you so much for your kind review,we are so pleased you loved our cafe. We hope to see you again.

In spite of having booked in advance of our visit for a family reunion of sorts, nothing was prepared. Water came after the meal. Coffees were fine if not memorable. All meals came liberally pre-peppered, which has sent my mother and sister home feeling unwell. They don't understand the basics of salads. Sad to say, we would not return.

A new caff in town - fantastic! Gotta try it out, and as the boys were screaming for their morning tea, and the pies look delicious and their coffee smells good - no complaints there! - had to go in!Lovely golden flaky pastry on their tasty pies and sausage rolls - of course they don't make them but they're delicious and different from the norm in town.Toasted sangers delicious and at great prices, but the only thing we've tried that have let them down is the Chicken Souvlaki. Now I'm a wog from Melbourne although I've lived up here longer, and I recall going into Lygon Street in Carlton and ordering mouthwatering souvlakis and gyros'... Tantalizing caramelled grilled chunks of chicken or beef with hints of oregano and other Mediterranean herbs in warmed souvlaki bread, not flat bread, not pitta bread, but lovely golden souvlaki bread with lettuce, tomato and onions - heaven! The barbecued meat smell was enough to drive you insane - my mouth is watering at the memory ....But here, it was not that. It was a toasted flat bread with lettuce and tomato yes, but the chicken once may have been a roast chicken, deboned and cut up so fine, then mixed with mayonnaise and herbs so it was like a spread. It tasted ok but extremely herby, it could have been chicken or tuna, nothing to really distinguish from either, and the disappointment in biting into it was enough to make me not want to go again. The ribs we tried were very tender but smothered in a smoky bbq sauce that overpowered the beef flavour - you know that fake smoky flavour you get in some sauces? So disappointing in that option too. They do have an amazing selection of salads on offer too, all looking enticing in the refrigerated display cabinet - sometimes its just too hard to decide what to have if you haven't worked out what you want before you go in!Go back again? Of course yes. Their coffees and sandwiches are excellent and their service is exemplary of what service should be like, especially in country towns struggling to keep going.Recommend to others? Of course, that's what I'm doing. Not everyone does things the same way, what is a let down to me is the prize for others. The Chicken Souvlaki just wasn't for me, and the ribs either, but will always go there when I'm in Gatton. The service is excellent, their prices so good (under $4 for a cappuccino).

Cottone's Café/Restaurant/Bar is the place to be in Gatton. If you're simply stopping in for a coffee and fresh home made cakes then you're at the right place. If you hunger requires a more satisfying meal then Cottone's is where you want to be. We offer
Forget the milk shake. It's just like any other typical Aussie milk shake, too milky, tasteless, not thick and white (when a chocolate milk shake should be at least brown). But having said that, you don't need to order the milk shake. Moreover, they can always improve their recipe. Anyway, THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD! I've had a couple of breakfasts and I was never disappointed. Crisp veggies, eggs perfectly done, good taste, good chef! I'd still elect this place for all-day breakfast, and order an orange juice.

We have been here many times but have noticed on our last few visits the quailty of food and level of service was declining. Staff offered no greeting and while we waited to be served 4 different staff walk past & offered nothing. Finally we were served but it looked like we were an inconvenience. Food arrived - roast was warm at best, gravy displaying a conjealing effect. Fish n chips was average with no dressing to place on salad. This restaurant is in the tourist centre & leaves a not so welcome to our town feeling. Still waiting for hello from the myriad of staff on site. Meals and drinks are over priced. We left with the vow never to return. Just keep on driving.
