At the refurbished side of Deception Bay MKT Place are a couple of the usual fast food chains but the most welcome addition has been Cold Rock ice-cream. With all the usual flavours and toppings, the Staff are friendly and the ice cream as delicious as ever. Went there for a family birthday with overseas visitors. Both 300g steaks were overcooked and one guest's meal was overlooked by the kitchen staff and only arrived after the rest had almost finished eating. The order was repeated back by the counter staff and appeared on the receipt so we are unsure how they could have missed it. Kitchen staff appear to be needing some bigger bins as they were seen throwing wrappings and other bits from the counter to the floor.Hi there, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We have exceptionally high standards when it comes to the quality of our meals as well as customer service and I am so sorry that this was not reflected in your recent visit. I am very disappointed with the food at this KFC. The initial service is okay. But when you get the food, it was greasy, cold and not what I ordered. After retuning my food I was met with hostile staff and a very unhelpful manager. I have eaten at other KFC establishments without any problems, but I will never eat at Deception Bay KFC again and would advise anyone else to avoid this store like the plague. I have trued contacting KFC head office with no response, sad really in this modern world.

We had a family celebration and decided to try an American BBQ joint. We found Slo Poke American BBQ and decided to give it a go.Its in a little shopping complex with convenience and pizza stores around it and has inside outside seating. I was wondering about the atmosphere.Having made a reservation, we were greeted by a very cheerful waitress who seated us outside. She then walked us through the menu and options of the fare available. She made ordering very easy after that. We had some share starters then tried and shared a variety of mains between us all. The meat was melt in your mouth and very tasty. The starters of blacken catfish and southern shrimp was delicious. The food was very filling and they supplied take out dishes for our unfinished meals.They serve a variety of US beers, soft drinks and Mexican coke (that Coca Cola).If you want to try an American BBQ joint, this place is a great way to start off. Great service, food and value for money.Thanks to the folks at Slo Poke BBQ for a great meal and time.

Tried Carl's Jnr twice as not impressed by first visit but thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt. Second trip was worse than the first. Both times food was overpriced for the quality of what was served. Second visit and was about to ask for a refund as were kept waiting for almost 30mins for a simple order.(dine in) Very minimal customers as about 9pm at night. Uber delivery drivers seemed to be in abundance and served before anyone waiting. Young person who finally delivered the burgers & loaded fries blamed new staff out the back for the delay in the chilli mince. Started eating & mince was cold in the middle so had obviously had been in the microwave but not long enough. So much for freshly prepared. Nachos just a soggy mess, burger just fell apart and tasted like slop. Will NOT be returning here. We don't eat out much and were certainly disappointed with this experience. Can't see this place lasting long.
