Headed out with some friends for a country pub crawl. First stop was in Laidley at the Queensland national hotel. Right in town, older style pub, great staff. Didn’t stay for lunch but the eating area looked very inviting. Outside garden bar was very relaxing.

We had a lovely relaxed evening chatting to the owner about the evolution of this place! Blaize was cooking on the evening that we were there and we took the recommendation for his bruschetta, the mushroom pasta and the Alfredo. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommended.

Surely we never expected to see a pub/ restaurant totally packed in the middle of the week on the main freeway. It was a very pleasant surprise. Service was exceptionally friendly, the place was clean but...But the food presentation and taste left me rather disappointed. To be honest, my meal was the best of all ( we were with the group of friends ) the other parmigiana, was massive and that was all the positive I can say. Ribs and wings- served cold, very dry, spicy sauce off putting. Oh, forgot to mentioned the sauce was colder than the cold ribs. Steak wasOver done and dry.We were told by our friends that the hotel part was new, clean and they enjoyed their short stay.Thank you for your feedback. It's feedback like yours which helps us to constantly improve, so we really appreciate you taking the time to get in touch. We're sorry to hear of your disappointing dining experience. We usually receive brilliant feedback on our steaks and ribs especially, but it sounds like your party have very unluckily been let down. We'd love to send you out some meal vouchers to make up for your poor experience. Please get in contact via [email protected] with your details so we can arrange.
