I’m a regular at this place and brought my partner to celebrate his birthday. After being seated inside next to two couples with 3 children (including a crying newborn) we moved outside to get some quiet time. The carpaccio was tasteless, followed by a veal chop (greasy and covered with tasteless breadcrumbs) and the duck, which was Ok according to my partner.Service was very good and the pleasant waitress looked after us well. She convinced us that the banana crepe brûlée would be “cracking good” and we were not disappointed in the quality although the size was very small. We took our own wine and had less than 1.5 bottles for which we were charged $40 corkage. (Far more than the $9.5 that another reviewer was charged.)Overall the food was just ok, if on the bland side, but certainly not the usual standard.

Last minute decision for an Italian dinner! The pasta was al dente and perfectly cooked. The mushroom pasta just needed a touch more salt or cheese but was other wise delicious. The chicken pate was amazing. The veal entrée (with mayo, tuna etc) was alright but I was expecting more flavour. Service was great at the start, but as the night got busier we were waiting longer and longer for food. All up I think we spent 2 hours there - mainly waiting for our food to come out... If you are ok with eating early, get there before it gets too hectic!

Recently had a Saturday night birthday dinner family celebration there. We have recently spent a week in Tuscany and the food, wine, service and ambience brought back so many happy memories. Not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - an unforgettable dining experience with engaging, obliging and knowledgeable wait staff and mouth watering food. A special place for a special occasion, and the birthday boy received a complementary drink and treat. Classy.

$64 For breakfast is way over priced.Coffee and food were good but not worth $$$. Very inconsistent with serving sizes between meals. Big breakfast good size for $ but eggs Benedict at $24 For 1 slice of bread, avo and 2 eggs left husband hungry. Also said more like a white sauce rather than hollandaise. Most disappointing though is that having an allergy menu becomes very restrictive when they won't allow substitution. But happy to remove $8 item and add $4 and charge for addition still. I understand not allowing substitution all the time but allergies already make my dining experience difficult. So due to this won't be back. It's obviously busy and won't miss my patronage but warning to others you may leave disappointed. Dear OpinionATThank you for your review. You are quite right, there is a difference in size between the BIG Breakfast and the Putia benedict due to the different ingredients in each dish. The big breakfast is the most substantial mean on the menu. Many of our customers tell us that they have allergies and our staff talk to them about menu options that might work for them. I appreciate the difficulty you may often have in choosing a suitable dish. For this reason, there is a basic menu choice of eggs on toast to which you can then add sides that are agreeable with you. Perhaps that would have worked better for you than the Big breakfast. Having said that, I can assure you that your feedback, e.g in relation to the sauce, is appreciated and has been considered by the kitchen team. regards Dominique

The food is locally sourced and reasonably priced. I had the spaghetti carbonara which was good but a bit bland for my taste. The service was friendly, helpful and attentive. There was a nice local crowd in the restaurant for lunch and what appeared to be baffles in the ceiling to keep the noise level manageable. I am rounding my rating up to 4 based on the service and the price. Helpful Hint: The restaurant is not immediately on the street. There was a sign on the sidewalk pointing in the direction of the restaurant.

I love all the food at this restaurant. This latest time we had a pizza and a spaghetti ragout. Both delicious. The pizzas have the best base, thin base with crispy edges. Yum! And the ragout was to die for. Since our last visit they have opened up the restaurant to across have extra dining space, and they are now licenced, so you can now buy beer and wine there. It will now be a great place to have a small function, with the extra dining space. I’ll keep coming back here while the food is so good.

Casa Nostra Ristorante

We stayed for one night locally so looked for a restaurant within easy walking distance of our hotel. The Casa Nostra was only 400 metres away and we were impressed with the contents of the Trip Advisor reviews from other diners. We certainly made the right choice. The service was great, the ambience spot on and the food was excellent. I had the Linguini Gamberi and my wife had a risotto. Both were generous portions, full of flavour and freshly made. The only slight gripe is the price of wine. I think the cheapest bottle was $46 and our choice came in quite a bit higher. How about a more reasonable vino della casa? All in all a very good and seemingly popular restaurant. We’d go back.

Found out about this place through “The Restaurant Choice” . Decided to try as we had travelled through this region of Italy and loved the area. Atmosphere and service is friendly and welcoming. Food was authentic and prepared with love. Doesn’t pretend to be anything other than simple food done well. Noticed many clients were repeat visitors which is a great recommendation. Will be back.
